Abstract
This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between authoritarian parenting and permissive parenting with early childhood morals in Penjaringan, North Jakarta. The number of samples taken is 153 parents who have early-aged children with criteria aged 20-45 years, working or not. The measuring instrument used for parenting scale is the Parental Authority Questionnare (PAQ) from Diana Baumrind’s parenting theory developed by Buri (1991). Then, the researcher modified the moral scale using the 7 main virtues from the aspect of moral intelligence by Borba (2001). The correlation value of the variable of authoritarian parenting is 0.424, permissive is 0.266. Thus the results of the hypothesis with a value of sig. 0.000 < 0.05 and the value of the relation coefficient 19.171 > 3.06. The results of this study indicate that there is a positive relationship between prenting patterns and early childhood morals in Penjaringan, North Jakarta. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ada hubungan pola asuh otoriter dan pola asuh permisif dengan moral anak usia dini di Penjaringan Jakarta Utara. Jumlah sampel yang diambil adalah 153 orang tua yang memiliki anak usia dini dengan kriteria usia 20-45 tahun, bekerja atau tidak. Alat ukuryang digunakan untuk skala parenting adalah Parental Authority Questionnare (PAQ) dari teori parenting Diana Baumrind yang dikembangkan oleh Buri (1991), yaitu; 30 item valid dengan masing-masing 10 item untuk setiap variabel parenting kemudian peneliti memodifikasi skala moral dengan menggunakan 7 kebajikan utama dari aspek kecerdasan moral menurut Borba (2001). Nilai korelasi variabel pola asuh otoriter sebesar 0,424, permisif sebesar 0,266. Demikian hasil hipotesis dengan nilai sig. 0,000 < 0,05 dan nilai koefisien relasi 19,171 > 3,06. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan positif pola asuh dengan moral anak usia dini di Penjaringan Jakarta Utara.
