Abstract
This research was made based on the problem of increasing internet needs, where increasing QoS is important, one way to optimize QoS is by implementing a traffic engineering system in the MPLS network, the application of the SR-TE method is a solution that is expected to optimize the MPLS network. , due to the simplification of the control plane operation. The purpose of this study is to analyze the optimization of the MPLS network by using the Segment Routing - Traffic Engineering method and to analyze the application of a more private and secure network using the service layer 2 Virtual Private Network in the MPLS SR-TE network. The proposed research method consists of several stages of testing, including (1) Software and Hardware Requirements Analysis, (2) Network Scenario Design, (3) Simulation Scenario Testing, (4) Testing Analysis. Then there are two test scenarios, including (1) Dynamic Route, (2) Explicit Route. The contribution of this research is that it is hoped that in the future it can be used as a reference in the implementation of the MPLS VPN service layer 2 network system using the Segment Routing - Traffic Engineering method. So that the conclusions and analysis of this research are obtained several parameter results in testing the SR-TE network such as simplification of the global labeling data traffic labeling process, then the average ICMP packet delivery in both scenarios 1 and 2 is around 11,173 ms. The average SDP tunnel service rate for both scenarios 1 and 2 is around 5,847 ms. The average throughput in scenario 1 for both upload and download is around 55.23% of bandwidth, in scenario 2, both upload and download are around 30.91% of bandwidth. The average delay in scenario 1 for both upload and download is around 5.57 ms, in scenario 2 both upload and download are around 8.07 ms. Based on the TIPHON standard, it is in the very good category with an index of 4. Kata Kunci : Segment, Routing, QoS, MPLS, Nokia, GNS3, TIPHON Penelitian ini dibuat berdasarkan permasalahan kebutuhan internet yang terus meningkat, dimana peningkatan QoS adalah hal yang penting, salah satu cara untuk dapat mengoptimalkan QoS yaitu dengan menerapkan sistem traffic engineering di dalam jaringan MPLS, penerapan metode SR-TE adalah solusi yang diharapkan dapat mengoptimalkan jaringan MPLS, karena penyederhanaan pada operasi control plane. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk dapat menganalisa optimalisasi dari jaringan MPLS dengan menggunakan metode Segment Routing - Traffic Engineering, serta menganalisa penerapan jaringan yang lebih privat dan aman dengan menggunakan service layer 2 Virtual Private Network dalam jaringan MPLS SR-TE. Metode penelitian yang diusulkan terdiri dari beberapa tahap pengujian antara lain: (1) Analisa Kebutuhan Software dan Hardware, (2) Desain Perancangan Skenario Jaringan, (3) Pengujian Skenario Simulasi, (4) Analisa Pengujian. Kemudian terdapat dua skenario pengujian antara lain : (1) Dynamic Route, (2) Explisit Route. Kontribusi dari penelitian ini yaitu diharapkan kedepannya bisa dijadikan referensi dalam implementasi sistem jaringan service layer 2 VPN MPLS dengan metode Segment Routing - Traffic Engineering. Sehingga kesimpulan dan analisa dari penelitian ini yaitu didapat beberapa hasil parameter pada pengujian jaringan SR-TE seperti penyederhanaan proses pelabelan trafik data yang bersifat global labelling, kemudian rata-rata pengiriman paket ICMP baik skenario 1 dan 2 sekitar 11.173 ms. Untuk rata-rata service rate SDP tunnel baik skenario 1 dan 2 sekitar 5.847 ms. Untuk rata-rata throughput pada skenario 1 baik upload dan download sekitar 55.23%dari bandwidth, pada skenario 2 baik upload dan download sekitar 30.91% dari bandwidth. Untuk rata-rata delay pada skenario 1 baik upload dan download sekitar 5.57 ms, pada skenario 2 baik upload dan download sekitar 8.07 ms. Berdasarkan standar TIPHON berada pada kategori sangat baik dengan indeks 4. Kata Kunci : Segment, Routing, QoS, MPLS, Nokia, GNS3, TIPHON
