Abstract
This research was conducted based on the phenomenon that occurs in high school student with School of Tomorrow (SOT) curriculum. The preliminary observation showed that some of the students have academic stress symptoms. The symptoms shown are tiredness, sleepy, laziness and lack of motivation to study. This research aims to look at the correlation between self-regulated learning and academic stress level on senior high school students using the School of Tomorrow (SOT) curriculum. Self-regulated learning is one of the best way to do that can be done by students in term of assisting them in controlling and monitoring themselves cognitively, motivation and also in learning behavior. This research is conducted in three schools located in North Jakarta. The method used in this study is quantitative method with Cluster Sampling technique. The total number of samples are 146 respondents with an age limit of 14-19 years. This research used Self Regulated Learning Scale as an instrument with total 63 items with α = 0,913 and Academic Stress Scale (SASS) in total 50 items with α = 0,964. All the datas are obtained using Pearson correlation design that produces correlation score 0.725 between self-regulated learning and academic stress with significance of 0.000 < 0.05 which indicates a strong correlation. This can be concluded that there is a significant positive relation between self-regulated learning with academic stress variables in high school students that School of Tomorrow (SOT) curriculum to study. Key Words : Self-Regulated Learning and Academic Stres Penelitian ini dilakukan berdasarkan fenomena yang terjadi pada siswa SMA di sekolah dengan kurikulum School of Tomorrow (SOT). Observasi awal menunjukkan bahwa beberapa siswa memiliki gejala stres secara akademik. Gejala-gejala yang ditunjukkan seperti rasa lelah, mengantuk, rasa malas dan rendahnya motivasi untuk belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara self-regulated learning dengan stres akademik pada siswa SMA yang belajar menggunakan kurikulum School of Tomorrow (SOT). Self-regulated learning adalah salah satu usaha yang dapat dilakukan oleh siswa untuk membantu mereka dalam mengontrol dan memonitoring diri mereka secara kognisi, motivasi dan juga perilaku dalam belajar. Penelitian ini dilakukan di tiga sekolah yang berlokasi di Jakarta Utara. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Kuantitatif dengan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik Cluster Sampling. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 146 responden dengan batas usia 14-19 tahun. Penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen penelitian skala Self Regulated Learning sebanyak 63 item dengan α = 0,913 dan Student Academic Stress Scale (SASS) sebanyak 50 item dengan α = 0,964. Data yang diperoleh menggunakan desain korelasi Pearson yang menghasilkan self-regulated learning dengan stres akademik memiliki korelasi 0.725 dengan signifikansi 0.000 < 0.05, dan korelasi tersebut bersifat kuat. Dari data tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa adanya hubungan positif yang signifikan antara self-regulated learning dengan variabel stres akademik pada siswa SMA yang belajar menggunakan kurikulum School of Tomorrow (SOT).
