Abstract
Long Term Evolution (LTE) technology is one of the answers for operators to improve data-based services by implementing more reliable technology in terms of access speed and efficiency. This LTE900 implementation is expected to increase the capacity of the 4G LTE network. In terms of efficiency, mixed mode can make LTE networks more efficient because the LTE network concept used is based on sharing networks between 2G and U900 using one radio device and the same module and using the same frequency, namely 900 MHz. So there is no need for additional modules for implementing this LTE900. In terms of capacity LTE1800 with a bandwidth of 20 MHz is <200 users and LTE900 with a bandwidth of 5 MHz is <75 users, it has reached the ideal target which means it will affect the throughput value on the speed test. In terms of performance, prior to the implementation of LTE900 MHz, download speeds were 5.47 Mbps and uploads were 8.85 Mbps. After implementing LTE 900MHz, the download speed is 17.2 Mbps and the upload is 32.6 Mbps. Therefore, in this final project it is stated that the implementation of LTE900 was successful with increased throughput and 2G can still make calls as before. Keywords: LTE900, speed test, 2G. Teknologi Long Term Evolution (LTE) merupakan salah satu jawaban bagi operator guna meningkatan layanan berbasis data dengan mengimplementasikan teknologi yang lebih handal dari segi kecepatan akses dan efesiensi. Impelemtasi LTE900 ini diharapkan dapat menambah kapasitas jaringan 4G LTE. Dari segi efisiensi, mixed mode dapat mengefisiensikan jaringan LTE karena konsep jaringan LTE yang dipakai berbasis sharing network antara 2G dan U900 menggunakan satu perangkat radio dan module yang sama serta menggunakan frekuensi yang sama yaitu 900 MHz. Sehingga tidak diperlukannya tambahan module untuk implementasi LTE900 ini. Dari segi kapasitas LTE1800 dengan bandwith 20 MHz adalah < 200 user dan LTE900 dengan bandwith 5 MHz adalah < 75 user, sudah mencapai target idealnya yang berarti akan mempengaruhi nilai throughput pada speed test. Dari segi performansi, sebelum adanya implementasi LTE900 MHz, speed download sebesar 5.47 Mbps dan upload sebesar 8.85 Mbps. Setelah diimplementasikan LTE 900MHz, diperoleh speed download sebesar 17.2 Mbps dan upload sebesar 32.6 Mbps. Oleh karena itu pada tugas akhir ini dinyatakan bahwa implementasi LTE900 berjalan sukses dengan bertambahnya throughput dan 2G masih dapat melakukan call seperti sebelumnya.
