Abstract

Inventories are goods or materials that are used to fulfill certain purposes. Inventories of goods are company assets that can affect the company's business processes. Therefore we need an inventory management information system to record the inventory of goods such as goods in and out, stock of goods and so on. At PT Cast Metals Indonesia, inventory recording still uses Microsoft Office Excel. In this case there are still differences in information between the stock data in the system and the actual stock data. So in this study the authors intend to create a webbased inventory management information system so that inventory recording is easier and more accurate. So that there is no difference in the inventory data on the system with the actual inventory in the warehouse. Web-Based Inventory Information System Design at PT. Cast Metals Indonesia uses the PIECES analysis method, system development uses the prototyping method and design aids using UML (Unified Modeling Language), while the data collection methods used include literature study, interviews, observation, and analysis. The result of designing this inventory system is an application that can help manage stock inventory, entry and exit of goods, purchase requests for goods and simplify reporting. Keywords: Inventory, Information Systems, PT Cast Metals Indonesia. Persediaan merupakan barang atau bahan yang digunakan untuk memenuhi tujuan tertentu. Persediaan barang merupakan aset perusahaan yang dapat berpengaruh dalam proses bisnis perusahaan tersebut. Oleh karena itu diperlukan sistem informasi manajemen persediaan barang untuk mencatat persediaan barang seperti keluar-masuk barang, stok barang dan sebagainya. Pada PT Cast Metals Indonesia pencatatan persediaan barang masih menggunakan Microsoft Office Excel. Dalam hal ini masih ada perbedaan informasi antara data stok pada sistem dan data stok aktual. Maka dalam penelitian ini penulis bermaksud untuk membuat sistem informasi manajemen inventory berbasis web agar pencatatan persediaan barang lebih mudah dan akurat. Sehingga tidak ada lagi perbedaan data persediaan barang pada sistem dengan persediaan aktual yang ada digudang. Perancangan Sistem Informasi Inventory Berbasis Web pada PT. Cast Metals Indonesia menggunakan metode analisis PIECES, pengembangan sistem menggunakan metode prototyping dan alat bantu perancangan mengunakan UML (Unified Modeling Language), sedangkan metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan antara lain studi pustaka, wawancara, observasi, dan analisis. Hasil dari perancangan sistem inventory ini adalah aplikasi yang dapat membantu mengelola persediaan stok barang, keluar-masuk barang, permintaan pembelian barang serta mempermudah dalam pembuatan laporan.
