Abstract

The Mining Industry is one of the pillars of national economic development. In this industry, heavy equipment plays an important role in the coal mining process in Indonesia. By using heavy equipment must be well structured, so that the project can run easily without any obstacles. This thesis discusses the evaluation of improvement by first calculating the actual OEE value and then discussing and analyzing the factors that cause time loss in the Hitachi EX2500 - 6 Excavator at Tabang Project in East Kalimantan. By using the OEE formula which is part of the TPM principle, Six Big Losses which is a loss in the production process to determine OEE factors, namely availability, performance, and quality. The OEE calculation results of the two Hitachi EX2500 - 6 Excavators are unit 157 having an OEE value of 84%, and unit 158 has an OEE value of 68%. The lowest OEE results are analyzed to get the most influential factors and get the root of the problem to be the basis for determining improvement recommendations. Keywords: Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), Excavator, Mining Industri pertambangan batubara merupakan salah satu pilar pembangunan ekonomi nasional. Dalam industri tersebut, alat berat memegang peranan penting dalam proses penambangan batubara di Indonesia. Dalam penggunaan alat berat harus terstruktur dengan baik, sehingga proyek dapat berjalan dengan lancar tanpa adanya hambatan. Kesalahan dalam pengoperasian alat berat dapat berdampak pada permasalahan. Dalam Tesis ini dibahas tentang rekomendasi perbaikan dengan terlebih dahulu menghitung nilai OEE aktual dan kemudian mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis faktor – faktor yang menyebabkan time losses pada Excavator Hitachi EX2500 – 6 di proyek Tabang Kalimantan Timur. Dengan menggunakan rumus OEE yang merupakan bagian dalam prinsip TPM maka losses yang merupakan kerugian dalam proses produksi diklasifikasikan untuk menentukan faktor – faktor OEE yaitu availability, performance, dan quality. Hasil perhitungan OEE dari kedua Excavator Hitachi EX2500 – 6 yaitu unit 157 mempunyai nilai OEE 88%, sedangkan unit 158 mempunyai nilai OEE 68%. Hasil OEE yang terendah dianalisis untuk mendapatkan faktor yang paling berpengaruh serta mendapatkan akar permasalahan untuk menjadi dasar menentukan rekomendasi perbaikan.
