Abstract

The material process is the process of making tire components. One of the machines in the Material Section, there is a machine used to produce material treatment. At present to operate Steel Calendar machine uses the HMI Panelview Plus 1250 Keypad connected with the Allen Bradley Control Logix PLC. To add some new recipe it should be modification the PLC program. Keypad on the HMI makes its operation require more accuracy because it has to see the keypad buttons to be pressed according to those on the HMI screen. The adding new recipe also need more time because it need modification the PLC program. So we need a modification HMI with touchscreen type and a modification of the PLC program to add recipe in the HMI.. The result of the modification is success of the function in the HMI and its PLC program in carrying out each instruction by 100% and error 0.00%. In the operation of adding a recipe give result faster than the standard on the other machines is 10 minutes. Keywords: HMI; PLC; Control Logix; Panelview Proses material merupakan proses pembuatan komponen-komponen penyusun ban. Salah satu mesin di Material Section, terdapat sebuah mesin yang digunakan untuk memproduksi material berupa treatment. Pada saat ini pengoperasian mesin Steel Calendar menggunakan HMI Panelview Plus 1250 Keypad yang terkoneksi dengan PLC Allen Bradley Control Logix. Penambahan recipe dilakukan dengan cara modifikasi program PLC. Tipe keypad pada HMI membuat pengoperasianya membutuhkan ketelitian lebih karena harus melihat tombol keypad yang akan ditekan sesuai dengan yang berada pada screen HMI. Penambahan recipe juga memerlukan waktu karena dilakukan dengan memodifikasi program PLC. Sehingga diperlukan nya sebuah modifikasi HMI meggunakan tipe touchscreen dan modifikasi program penambahan recipe dari HMI. Hasil dari modifikasi tersebut adalah keberhasilan fungsi dari HMI dan program PLC nya dalam melakukan instruksi masin-masing sebesar 100% dan error 0.00% dan dalam pengoperasian penambahan recipe menjadi lebih cepat dibandingkan standard di mesin lain yaitu 10 menit.
