Abstract

ABSTRAK Quarter life crisis adalah fenomena terkait kekhawatiran pada kelanjutan hidup di masa depan, yang terjadi pada individu dengan rentang usia 18 sampai 29 tahun. Kelompok usia ini dikenal sebagai dewasa awal. Tahap perkembangan ini disebut masa peralihan dari masa remaja ke masa dewasa, dengan memiliki kesempatan untuk mengeksplor diri dan menghadapi tantangan hidup. Tujuan pada penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan pemahaman tentang gambaran koping stres pada dewasa awal yang mengalami quarter life crisis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik dalam pengumpulan data ini adalah wawancara semi terstruktur (semistructure interview). Penelitian ini dilakukan pada tiga subjek yang ditentukan melalui data google form dengan kriteria mengalami quarter life crisis. Hasil pada penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa dewasa awal yang mengalami quarter life crisis menggunakan strategi emotion focused coping dan problem focused coping. Koping ini menghasilkan hasil yang berbeda pada setiap masalah dan subjek. Penelitian ini juga menghasilkan kekhasan baru yaitu tuntutan menikah, finansial, pola asuh dan media sosial yang menjadi faktor stres quarter life crisis. Kata Kunci: strategi koping, dewasa awal, gangguan stres, quarter life crisis ABSTRACT Quarter life crisis is a phenomenon related to concern for the continuation of life in the future, which occurs in individuals with an age range of 18 to 29 years. This age group is known as early adulthood. This stage of development is called the transition period from adolescence to adulthood, with having the opportunity to explore oneself and face life's challenges. The purpose of this study was to gain an understanding of the description of coping with stress in young adults who experience it quarter life crisis. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The technique in collecting this data is semistructured interviews (semistructure interview). This research was conducted on three subjects determined through datagoogle form with experience criteria quarter life crisis. The results in this study found that early adults experienced quarter life crisis use strategy emotion focused coping and problem focused coping. This coping produces different results for each problem and subject. This research also produces new characteristics, namely the demands of marriage, finances, parenting and social media which are stress factors quarter life crisis.
