Abstract

ABSTRAK Keberadaan media sosial menjadi puncak ditahun 2020 terlebih lagi di kalangan remaja. Kehadirannya memberikan dampak yang besar dalam kehidupan yaitu membentuk perilaku dalam berkomunikasi dan sosialisasi (Rifauddin, 2016). Bullying yang dilakukan secara online disebut cyberbullying (Fazry & Apsari, 2021). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media sosial instagram terhadap perilaku cyberbullying kepada siswa SMP di Bekasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Pengambilan data menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Sampel penelitiannya adalah 84 siswa SMP X di Bekasi berusia 12 sampai dengan 15 tahun. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah 16 aitem Bullying and Cyberbullying Scale For Adolescents (BCS-A) yang sudah dimodifikasi menjadi 9 aitem (korban) dan 7 aitem (pelaku). Sedangkan 9 aitem dari Social Media Use Integration Scale (SMUIS). Uji Validitas alat ukur diketahui BCS-A 16 aitem valid dan 9 aitem valid dari SMUIS. Teknik analisis data menggunakan metode analisis regresi linier sederhana. Berdasarkan hasil uji korelasi terdapat hubungan antara perilaku cyberbullying dari perspektif pelaku dengan penggunaan media sosial, dan tidak terdapat hubungan antara perilaku cyberbullying dari perspektif korban. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan adanya pengaruh yang signifikan antara penggunaan media sosial (sig. = 0,035) dengan perilaku cyberbullying dari perspektif pelaku. Tidak menunjukkan adanya pengaruh yang signifikan antara penggunaan media sosial (sig. = 0,091) dengan perilaku cyberbullying dari perspektif korban. Its presence has a big impact on life, namely shaping behavior in communication and socialization (Rifauddin, 2016). Bullying that is done online called cyberbullying (Fazry & Apsari, 2021). The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using Instagram social media on cyberbullying towards junior high school students in Bekasi. This research uses quantitative methods. Retrieval of data using purposive sampling method. The research sample was 84 students of SMP X in Bekasi aged 12 to 15 years. The measuring instrument used is the 16 item Bullying and Cyberbullying Scale For Adolescents (BCS-A) which has been modified into 9 item (victim) and 7 item (perpetrator). While 9 items from the Social Media Use Integration Scale (SMUIS). Test the validity of the measuring tool known BCS-A 16 valid items and 9 valid items from SMUIS. The data analysis technique uses a simple linear regression analysis method. Based on the results of the correlation test, there is a relationship between cyberbullying from the perpetrator's perspective and the use of social media, and there is no relationship between cyberbullying from the victim's perspective. The results of the hypothesis test show that there is a significant influence between the use of social media (sig. = 0.035) and cyberbullying from the perpetrator's perspective. It does not show that there is a significant effect between the use of social media (sig. = 0.091) and cyberbullying from the victim's perspective.
