Abstract

Youtube is one of the favorite platforms in Indonesia. Youtube can access various kinds of video content, ranging from music, movies, news and information, sports, lifestyle, games and vlogs. Arief Muhammad is a daily vlogger where he uploads his video blog with the theme of daily vlogs. Daily vlogs are a type of video blog that are mostly uploaded on Youtube. The method in this research uses a qualitative approach with the reception analysis method. Reception analysis is a study in which discourse in the media is assimilated into discourse from the cultural practices of audiences. The purpose of this study is to find out and analyze Arief Muhammad's personal identity that he wants to reveal in his personal branding as a daily vlogger on his YouTube channel. In conclusion, the personal branding carried out by Arief Muhammad through his YouTube channel account is a personal figure who has fun, humble and family-loving traits. Keywords: Reception Analysis, Personal Branding, Vlog, Youtube. Youtube merupakan salah satu platform favorit di Indonesia. Youtube dapat mengakses berbagai macam konten video, mulai dari musik, film, berita dan informasi, olahraga, gaya hidup, game, dan vlog. Arief Muhammad adalah seorang daily vlogger dimana ia menggunggah video blognya dengan tema daily vlog. Daily vlog merupakan salah satu jenis video blog yang banyak diunggah di Youtube.Metode dalam penelitain ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis resepsi. Analisis resepsi merupakan studi dimana wacana dalam media diasimilasikan ke dalam wacana dari praktik praktik budaya khalayak. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis apa saja identitas diri Arief Muhammad yang ingin dikeluarkan dalam personal branding nya sebagai daily vlogger di youtube channel nya . Pada kesimpulan penelitian ini personal branding yang di lakukan Arief Muhammad melalui Akun Channel Youtube nya bahwa sosok pribadi yang mempunyai sifat yang fun ,humble dan penyayang keluarga. Kata Kunci: Analisis Resepsi, Personal Branding, Vlog, Youtube.
