Abstract
Currently, competition in the industrial field is getting fiercer, companies that want to continue to survive must show their best performance by continuing to innovate. Every man and woman employee has an equal workload in work participation. However, in reality until now there has been a lot of discrimination in one of the genders. This study aims to test the differences in innovative work behaviors in man and woman employees in Jakarta. The population of this study was man and feman employees in Jakarta. The sampling technique used was nonprobability sampling with 403 respondents. The result of this study was that there were no significant differences between man and woman employees in displaying innovative work behaviors. This means that both man employees and feman employees have the same ability to continue to innovate. Companies should provide equal rights and opportunities for every employee so that employees can continue to develop their skills and increase their work productivity. Keywords : The Role of Gender, Innovative Work Behaviors, Employee, Jakarta Saat ini kompetisi di bidang industry semakin sengit, perusahaan yang ingin terus bertahan harus menujukan perfoma terbaiknya dengan terus melakukan inovasi. Setiap karyawan pria dan wanita memiliki beban kerja yang sama dalam partisipasi kerja. Namun, pada kenyataanya sampai saat ini banyak terjadi diskrimina pada salah satu gender. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji perbedaan perilaku kerja inovatif pada karyawan pria dan wanita di Jakarta. Populasi penelitian ini adalah karyawan pria dan wanita di Jakarta. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan ialah non-probability sampling dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 403 orang karyawan. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara karyawan pria dan wanita dalam menampilkan perilaku kerja inovatif. Artinya baik karyawan pria maupun karyawan wanita memiliki kemampun yang sama untuk terus melakukan inovasi. Perusahaan seharusnya memberikan hak dan kesempatan yang sama bagi setiap karyawan agar karyawan dapat terus mengembangkan keterampilannya dan meningkatkan produktivitas kerjanya.
