Abstract

The Mandiri Hydrant Network is a hydrant installation that is directly connected through pipes with pumps and has a capacity of 750 gpm and is built in a densely populated area with an area of 4 m x 4 m. In the operation of the pump, there is a large enough water fluid flow leakage, so it can affect pump performance such as pressure and the amount of water flow coming out of the transmitter / nozzle in the extinguishing process. Leakage occurs in the hose connection (coupling) with an output valve / valve inside the hydrant box. Therefore, it is necessary to identify the main cause of the leak that occurs in the hydrant box. So as to get the amount of flow rate (discharge) value that comes out of the nozzle / water transmitter correctly, and can find out the effectiveness of the current pump. The methods used in this study are pump testing and identifying problems in the field. The result obtained is that the seal / adhesive rubber is damaged, due to the codition of the material that is already fragile. Then the pressure that comes out at the nozzle / transmitter end is 3.2 bar, at an engine speed of 2,970 rpm with an efficiency of 53 %. Keywords : Installation, Self-Service Hydrant, Efficiency Jaringan Hidran Mandiri merupakan instalasi hidran yang terhubung langsung melalui pipa - pipa dengan pompa dan memiliki kapasitas 750 gpm serta dibangun di kawasan padat penduduk dengan luas 4 m x 4 m. Dalam pengoperasian pompa terdapat kebocoran aliran fluida air yang cukup besar, sehingga dapat mempengaruhi kinerja pompa seperti tekanan dan banyaknya aliran air yang keluar dari pemancar / nozzle pada proses pemadaman. Kebocoran terjadi pada sambungan selang (coupling) dengan valve / katup keluaran di dalam bok hidran. Oleh sebab itu diperlukan identifikasi penyebab utama kebocoran yang terjadi pada bok hidran. Sehingga mendapatkan jumlah nilai laju aliran (debit) yang keluar dari nozzle / pemancar air dengan tepat, serta dapat mengetahui efektivitas pompa saat ini. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu pengujian pompa dan identivikasi masalah di lapangan. Hasil yang didapatkan adalah seal / karet perekat mengalami kerusakan, karena kodisi bahan yang sudah rapuh. Kemudian tekanan yang keluar pada nozzle / ujung pemancar sebesar 3,2 bar, pada putaran mesin 2.970 rpm dengan efisiensi 53 %. Kata Kunci : Instalasi, Hidran Mandiri, Efisiensi.
