Abstract

ABSTRAK Peningkatan kualitas secara berkesinambungan dan signifikan adalah suatu keharusan untuk memenangkan persaingan industri dan menjadikan perusahaan menjadi pilihan dalam pasar. Data produksi Link D375-5 di PT SAE periode Januari sampai Agustus 2022 terdapat produk defect yang melebihi toleransi yang ijinkan oleh Perusahaan sebesar 0,5%. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pengendalian kualitas dengan melakukan analisis penyebab waste produk di PT SAE. Dengan permasalahan tersebut maka penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis defect yang tertinggi, mengidentifikas factor penyebab defect dan memberikan usulan perbaikan dengan metode DMAIC. Diketahui ada 3 jenis defect berdasarkan pengolahan data. Berdasarkan hasil analisa dengan menggunakan diagram pareto defect diameter Over merupakan defect dominan dengan persentase sebesar 53,3%. sehingga usulan perbaikan di fokuskan pada defect tersebut, faktor yang menyebabkan defect tersebut yaitu ada 4 faktor yaitu manusia, mesin, material dan metode. Melalui metode DMAIC dihasilkan usulan perbaikan yang dapat diimplementasikan di lapangan dengan memperbaiki akar masalah yang ada mulai dari melakukan edukasi/training kepada man power, melakukan pengecekan sampling material preprocess, menambah jadwal pengecekan Quality Control menjadi 4x dalam satu shift, mengganti semua tool, jig proses, insert yang rusak sehingga persentase defect pada Link D 375-5 menurun sebesar 0,31% dan level sigma perusahaan meningkat sebesar 0,21. Link D375-5 production data at PT SAE for the period January to August 2022 there are defective products that exceed the tolerance allowed by the Company by 0.5%. Therefore, Quality Control is needed by analyzing the causes of product waste at PT SAE. With these problems, this study aims to determine the highest type of defect, identify the factors that cause defects and provide suggestions for improvement with the DMAIC method. It is known that there are 3 types of defects based on data processing. Based on the results of the analysis using the pareto defect diameter, Over is the dominant defect with a percentage of 53.3%. So that the improvement proposal is focused on the defect, the factors that cause the defect are 4 factors, namely humans, machines, materials and methods. Through the DMAIC method, a proposed improvement is produced that can be implemented in the field by fixing the root of the existing problem starting from conducting education / training to man power, checking preprocess material sampling, increasing the Quality Control checking schedule to 4x in one shift, replacing all tools, process jigs, damaged inserts so that the percentage of defects in Link D 375- 5 decreases by 0.31% and the company's sigma level increases by 0.21.
