Abstract

ABSTRAK PT. Rantai Mulia Kencana adalah perusahaan yang bergerak sebagai stockist dan supplier komponen rantai industri serta perusahaan manufaktur dan installer conveyor belt. Pada saat ini tata letak fasilitas di PT. Rantai Mulia Kencana tidak tersistem dengan baik, Jarak perpindahan antar stasiun kerja sangat jauh dan tidak beraturan, peletakan material disembarang tempat di ruang terbuka tanpa atap dan rak penyimpanan sehingga menyebabkan kerusakan material. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk perbaikan rancangan tata letak fasilitas agar mendapatkan usulan rancangan ulang alur pekerjaan atau perpindahan material antar fasilitas menjadi lebih baik Dengan perancangan tata letak fasilitas menggunakan metode Systematic Layout Planning permasalahan yang terjadi dapat terselesaikan dengan baik, sehingga jarak perpindahan material dapat diminimumkan dan peletakan material sesuai dengan tempatnya. Dari hasil penelitian ini pada total jarak perpindahan material layout awal sebanyak 101.07 meter / hari, sedangkan pada layout usulan diperoleh jarak perpindahan material sebanyak 52.65 meter / hari atau 52.09 %, sehingga layout usulan dapat meminimumkan jarak perpindahan material sebanyak 48.42 meter / hari dari layout awal. Kata Kunci : Tata Letak fasilitas, Systematic Layout Planning, Jarak Perpindahan, alur perpindahan material. ABSTRACT PT. Rantai Mulia Kencana is a company engaged as a stockist and supplier of industrial chain components as well as a manufacturing company and conveyor belt installer. At this time the layout of the facilities at PT. The Mulia Kencana chain is not properly systemized, the distance between work stations is very far and irregular, the material is placed in random places in an open space without a roof and storage racks, causing material damage. The purpose of this study is to improve the facility layout design in order to get a better work flow redesign proposal or material transfer between facilities. By designing the facility layout using the Systematic Layout Planning method, the problems that occur can be resolved properly, so that the distance of material movement can be minimized and the placement materials according to their place. From the results of this study, the total distance for moving material in the initial layout was 101.07 meters/day, while in the proposed layout, the distance for moving material was 52.65 meters/day or 52.09 %, so that the proposed layout could minimize the distance for moving material as much as 48.42 meters/day from the initial layout.
