Abstract

ABSTRAK Pada dunia industri penggunaan alat pemindah barang sangat dibutuhkan untuk meningkatkan produktivitas, conveyor menjadi salah satu alat pemindah barang tersebut. Dalam conveyor terjadi gesekan yang mengakibatkan belt terkikis/aus, sehingga dilakukan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk menghitung laju keausan yang terjadi pada belt prototype conveyor serta pengaruh beban terhadap laju keausan yang terjadi pada belt prototype conveyor dengan metode simulasi menggunakan software ansys dengan variasi 3 beban yaitu 400 gram, 600 gram dan 800 gram. Hasil dari penelitian diperoleh keausan dengan variasi 3 beban selama 100 putaran belt conveyor yaitu 400 gram sebesar 0.00004732 mm, 600 gram sebesar 0.000058711 mm dan 800 gram sebesar 0.000071404 mm. Sehingga keausan rata-rata yang terjadi pada belt adalah 0.000059145 mm dalam 100 putaran belt conveyor serta pengaruh beban pada laju keausan dengan beban yang diuji, yaitu 400 gram, 600 gram dan 800 gram adalah 26.7%, 33.1% dan 40.2%. ABSTRACT In the industrial world, the use of goods moving equipment is needed to increase productivity, the conveyor is one of the goods moving tools. In the conveyor there is friction which causes the belt to erode/wear out, so a study was conducted which aims to calculate the wear rate that occurs on the conveyor prototype belt and the effect of load on the wear rate that occurs on the conveyor prototype belt with a simulation method using ansys software with variations of 3 loads namely 400 grams, 600 grams and 800 grams. The results of the study obtained wear with variations of 3 loads for 100 revolutions of the conveyor belt, namely 400 grams of 0.00004732 mm, 600 grams of 0.000058711 mm and 800 grams of 0.000071404 mm. So that the average wear that occurs on the belt is 0.000059145 mm in 100 revolutions of the conveyor belt and the influence of the load on the wear rate with the tested load, namely 400 grams, 600 grams and 800 grams is 26.7%, 33.1% and 40.2%.
