Abstract

ABSTRAK Stabilitas manuver sangat dipengaruhi oleh desain geometri pada kendaraan tiga roda E-Niaga Geni Biru 3 Roda terutama pada sistem kemudinya. Desain geometri yang paling banyak berpengaruh adalah sudut caster. Sudut caster akan mengakibatkan perbedaan antara sudut kemudi masukan dengan sudut belok yang terjadi pada roda kemudi sehingga mengakibatkan perbedaan radius belok dan kecepatan belok. Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk mengetahui pengaruh besar sudut caster terhadap stabilitas dan kemampuan kemudi dalam bermanuver. Metode pengolahan data diambil dari hasil pengujian secara eksperimen, sedangkan metode analisis data yang dipakai adalah dengan menggunakan analisis gerak lurus beraturan, gerak melingkar beraturan. Dari hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa kedua faktor yaitu kecepatan, sudut caster berpengaruh terhadap kestabilan kendaraan tiga Roda E-Niaga Geni Biru 3 Roda. Kendaraan listrik E-Niaga Geni Biru 3 Roda dengan sudut caster 34o lebih stabil dan memiliki nilai simpangan yang lebih rendah saat berkendara pada trek yang lurus dan berbelok. Kata kunci: E-Niaga Geni Biru 3 Roda, Sudut Caster, Stabilitas Kendaraan ABSTRACT Maneuver stability is strongly affected by the geometric design of the E-Niaga Geni Biru 3 Roda vehicle, especially the steering system. The most influential geometric design is the caster angle. The caster angle will cause a difference between the input steering angle and the turning angle that occurs on the steering wheel, resulting in a difference in turning radius and turning speed. This study was intended to determine the effect of the caster angle on stability and maneuverability of the steering wheel. The data processing method was taken from the experimental results, while the data analysis method used was the analysis of uniform straight motion, uniform circular motion. From the results of the research, it is known that the two factors, namely speed, caster angle, affect the stability of the three-wheeled E-Niaga Geni Biru 3 Roda vehicle. The three-wheeled E-Niaga Geni Biru 3 Roda vehicle with 34o caster angle is more stable and has a lower drift value when driving on straight dan turning tracks.
