Abstract

In recent years, there have been several types of hidden crimes and exploited cyberspace through cyber attacks that can penetrate the internal network of a company. One of these attacks is a FTP Brute Force. A brute force attack uses one from a list of passwords and tries different combinations against the service until it manages to log into an internal system using the correct username and password. This is the main reason why complex and long passwords are recommended to reduce the threat of brute force password attacks. In general, to prevent brute force attacks, administrators can close brute force attack traffic by placing a Firewall as an IPS (Intrusion Prevention System) in front of their service, and also IDS (Intrusion Detection System) as an act of detecting unwanted traffic on a network. Some IPS based algorithms on anomaly detection focusing on login attempts per minute and login attempts in progress. Keywords : IPS, IDS, Firewall, FTP Brute Force Dalam beberapa tahun terakhir, terdapat beberapa jenis kejahatan tersembunyi dan eksploitasi dunia maya melalui serangan siber yang dapat menembus jaringan internal suatu perusahaan.
