Abstract
The growth of slums in urban areas is generally a result of unmet housing needs for lowincome people. The implementation of the rearrangement of slums in Bekelir village - Tangerang is expected to be a capital that can be applied in various regions with the same conditions. Bekelir Village is one of the areas in the city of Tangerang which is strategically located on the edge of the Ciliwung River where there are many people who are less capable and their scope of life is limited. The local government made a decision to rejuvenate the environment or beautification by coloring the village and using mural art to attract visitors to visit Bekeir village so that the income of the people who mainly live in Bekelir village can get finacecial income which is better than before. And also applied the concept of building sustainable community self-sufficiency. Kata Kunci: Slums, Settlement Rejuvenation, Beautification, Art Interventions Tumbuhnya permukiman kumuh di daerah perkotaan pada umumnya akibat dari kebutuhan perumahan yang belum terpenuhi bagi masyarakat berpenghasilan rendah. Penerapan penataan kembali kawasan kumuh di kampung Bekelir - Tangerang diharapkan sebagai modal yang bisa diterapkan di berbagai daerah yang kondisinya sama. Kampung Bekelir adalah salah satu kawasan di kota Tangerang yang letaknya strategis di pingiran kali ciliwung disana banyak masyarakat yang kurang mamapu dan dan ruang lingkup kehidupannya terbatas. Pemerintah setempat mengambil keputusan untuk meremajakan lingkungan tersebut atau beautification dengan cara mewarnai kampung tersebut dan mengunakan seni mural untuk menarik para pengunjung agar bisa mengunjungin kampung Bekeir agar pemasukan masyarakat yang khususnya tinggal di kampung Bekelir bisa mendapatkan pemasukan finacecial yang lebih bagus dari sebelumnya. Dan juga diterapkan konsep membangun keswadayaan masyarakat berkelanjutan. Kata Kunci: Pemukiman kumuh, Peremajaan pemukiman,Beautification, Intervesi seni
