Abstract

This research was carried out to replace a pH meter, which generally has a glass electrode that functions as a measure of the amount of ions in a sample. In general, the nature of glass that is prone to breaking makes the sensor prone to leaks, this time Ion selective electrode (ISE) based on polypyrrole and battery rod electrodes. by carrying out several treatment processes and conducting tests with potentiometric devices, in the polypyrrole coating process using the Electrodeposition method with voltage variations of 1.5 Volts, 3 Volts, 4.5 Volts, 6 Volts, 7.5 Volts, and 9 Volts Obtained optimal value results for variations in voltage at 3 Volts using the electrodeposition method with a coating time of 30 seconds, in the pH response test using the potentiometry method the slope value was 53.657 mV/decade in the pH response test using pH buffers 4, 7 and 10 where these values are in accordance with IUPAC standards. variations in the addition of Arabic gum at 0.5%, 1% and 2% to ensure the addition of what percentage of Arabic gum produces the ideal nerst value.
