Abstract

This paper discusses a comparison of the calculation of the Fiber To The Building (FTTB) network against the results of attenuation measurements carried out using the OPM at the Season City Building, this is used as a preventive and corrective action. This study produces an average for calculating the Power Link Budget is -18.4 dB, while for an average measurement of the Optical Power Meter (OPM) measurement of -16.5 dB, this could be due to several things that happened during network implementation and measurement. Based on previous research, detailed optimization calculations have not been carried out for the FTTB infrastructure network being built, so in this study optimization calculations were carried out based on power link budget calculations compared to field measurement results. Comparison of the power link budget with the measurement of the FTTB network in the Season City Building still meets the attenuation specifications from ITU.T G.984 and the attenuation specifications up to the Customer at PT. Supraprima Nusantara (Biznet). The importance of calculating the power link budget is used as the main reference standard for the initial analysis used for the implementation of the FTTB infrastructure network. Penelitian ini menghasilkan rata-rata untuk perhitungan Power Link Budget tersebut adalah -18.4 dB, sementara untuk rata-rata pengukuran Optical Power Meter (OPM) pengukuran sebesar -16.5 dB, hal tersebut bisa disebabkan karena beberapa hal yang terjadi selama implementasi dan pengukuran jaringan. Berdasarkan Penelitian sebelumnya, belum dilakukan optimasi perhitungan mendetail terhadap jaringan infrastruktur FTTB yang dibangun, sehingga pada penelitian ini dilakukan perhitungan optimasi berdasarkan perhitungan power link budget dibandingkan dengan hasil pengukuran dilapangan. Perbandingan power link budget dengan pengukuran jaringan FTTB di Gedung Season City masih memenuhi spesifikasi redaman dari ITU.T G.984 dan spesifikasi redaman sampai dengan Customer di PT. Supraprima Nusantara (Biznet). Pentingnya Perhitungan power link budget digunakan sebagai Standard acuan utama terhadap, analisa awal yang digunakan terhadap implementasi jaringan infrastruktur FTTB.
