Abstract

Saunas is a room or building facility used for relaxation or health activities that emits hot steam. The temperature of sauna steam produced by standard portable sauna equipment in Indonesia is 50 – 70 °C. In order for the performance of portable sauna equipment to be optimal, it is necessary to know the value of thermal efficiency, usage costs, and the temperature received by the body in a portable sauna device. Thus, the study analyzed this in a portable sauna with a capacity heater 150, 160, 170, and 180℃ to determine the performance of a portable sauna. The test is carried out by placing a thermocouple at the test data collection point, then the data obtained is calculated using the related equation. From these temperature variations, the average heat transfer value is 346.56965 Watt. The average cost of electricity used per hour is Rp. 937.-. The average value of thermal efficiency is 52.98%. The average body temperature has increased by 2.65 ℃. Keywords: analysis, portable sauna, thermal efficiency Sauna merupakan ruangan atau bangunan fasilitas yang digunakan untuk kegiatan relaksasi atau kesehatan yang mengeluarkan uap panas. Besar temperatur uap sauna yang dihasilkan oleh alat sauna portabel standar di indonesia sebesar 50 – 70 °C, agar kinerja alat sauna portabel dapat optimal perlu diketahui nilai efesiensi termal, biaya pemakaian, dan temperatur yang diterima tubuh pada alat sauna portabel. Dengan demikian, penelitian menganalisis hal tersebut pada alat sauna portabel berkapasitas heater 150, 160, 170, dan 180℃ untuk mengetahui kinerja alat sauna portabel. Pengujian dilakukan dengan menempatkan thermocouple pada titik pengambilan data pengujian, lalu data yang diperoleh dihitung dengan persamaan terkait. Dari variasi temperatur tersebut rata-rata menghasilkan nilai perpindahan panas sebesar 346,56965 Watt. Rata- rata biaya listrik yang terpakai untuk pemakaian per jam sebesar Rp 937,- . Rata – rata nilai efisiensi termal sebesar 52,98 %. Rata-rata temperatur tubuh mengalami kenaikan sebesar 2,65℃. Kata kunci: analisis, efisiensi termal, sauna portabel
