Abstract

Information technology is currently very rapidly developing. information technology can be used in all aspects, including for the world of health. currently an expert system application has been developed by researchers with a variety of methods. The expert system itself is a system that adopts the way of thinking of an expert into a computer system. expert systems for diagnosing a disease make it easy for people to consult about their health and illness without having to meet directly with an expert or doctor. the results of the expert system diagnosis can be used as a reference if you want to consult a doctor when conducting a health test. The method used in the system is certainty factor. Certainty factor is an algorithm used when facing a problem for which the answer is uncertain. This uncertainty can be a probability. Certainty Factor states confidence in an event ( facts or hypotheses) based on expert evidence or judgment. Application of an expert system with this certainty factor method successfully diagnoses well according to the weight value given by the expert or doctor. This expert system will also be very useful for the community as an educational media so that people are more aware of diabetes, the symptoms of diabetes and solutions that must be done from diabetes. Key words: Certainty Factor, Diabetes Mellitus, Expert System Saat ini teknologi informasi sangat bekembang pesat. Teknologi informasi dapat digunakan dalam segala aspek, termasuk untuk dunia kesehatan. Saat ini aplikasi sistem pakar sudah banyak dikembangkan oleh peneliti dengan beragam metode. Sistem pakar sendiri adalah sistem yang mengadopsi cara pikir seorang pakar ke dalam sebuah sistem komputer. Sistem pakar untuk diagnosa sebuah penyakit memudahkan masyarakat untuk berkonsultasi mengenai kesehatan dan penyakit mereka tanpa harus bertemu langsung dengan pakar atau dokter. Hasil dari diagnosa sistem pakar dapat digunakan sebagai rujukan jika ingin berkonsultasi dengan dokter saat melakukan tes kesehatan. Metode yang digunakan dalam sistem adalah certainty factor. Certainty factor adalah suatu algoritma yang digunakan ketika menghadapi suatu masalah yang jawabannya tidak pasti. Ketidakpastian ini bisa merupakan probabilitas. Certainty Factor menyatakan kepercayaan dalam sebuah kejadian ( fakta atau hipotesis) berdasarkan bukti atau penilaian dari seorang pakar atau ahli. Aplikasi sistem pakar dengan metode certainty factor ini berhasil melakuakn diagnosa dengan baik sesuai dengan nilai bobot yang sudah diberikan oleh pakar atau dokter. Sistem pakar ini juga akan sangat bermanfaat untuk masyarakat sebagai media edukasi agar masyarakat lebih tahu tentang penyakit diabetes, gejala-gejala penyakit diabetes dan solusi yang harus dilakukan dari penyakit diabetes.
