Abstract

A fault in electrical power system is an absolute occurrence, and short circuit is the most common fault to occur. In order to maintain the continuity of electrical power supply, its protection system’s reliability is either shall to be optimized. System reliability does count on protection equipments coordination soundness; relays coordination in certain. Well-coordinated protection relays in isolating electrical fault may minimize the damage of electrical equipments from fault current which flows through them. Thus, a study is required to figure out the condition of protection relays coordination. This Final Project aims to present an analysis of Over Current Relay’s and Ground Fault Relay’s coordination of Trafo1 150/20 kV Incoming section and Pantomim 20 kV Feeder section in Tangerang Baru 150 kV Substation. Pick up (Iset) and TMS (Time Multiplier Setting) set value of OCR and GFR for these two sections were calculated in accordance to short circuit current calculation result. ETAP 12.6.0 software is to be used to support short circuit current and coordination analysis process of OCR and GFR for these two sections accordingly. Based on calculation result, a new pickup and TMS set value of OCR and GFR are obtained, which are quite different from its existing set value. Regarding 3 phase fault short circuit simulation result, relay’s grading time of existing set value is 0,648 s, and relay’s grading time of calculation set value is 0,358 s, while relay’s grading time range to be prevailed in accordance of IEC 60255-151 std is 0,3 – 0,5 s. Concerning analysis result of this Final Project, Writer recommends to carry out a resetting of existing’s OCR and GFR pickup & TMS set value. Keywords – short circuit, coordination, OCR, GFR Gangguan pada sistem tenaga listrik merupakan hal yang pasti terjadi, khususnya gangguan hubung singkat. Dalam menjaga kontinuitas penyaluran tenaga listrik, keandalan sistem proteksi juga perlu ditingkatkan. Keandalan sistem proteksi tenaga listrik tidak terlepas dari koordinasi antar peralatan proteksi yang baik, salah satunya koordinasi antar relay. Koordinasi antar relay yang baik dalam mengisolasi gangguan dapat meminimalisasi kerusakan peralatan tenaga listrik akibat arus gangguan. Diperlukan suatu studi untuk mengetahui kondisi koordinasi relay-relay proteksi. Tugas Akhir ini bertujuan untuk menyajikan analisa terhadap koordinasi Over Current Relay dan Ground Fault Relay pada Incoming Trafo1 150/20 kV dan Penyulang 20 kV Pantomim di Gardu Induk 150 kV Tangerang Baru. Setting Iset dan TMS (Time Multiplier Setting) OCR dan GFR kedua seksi jaringan tersebut dihitung berdasarkan hasil perhitungan arus gangguan hubung singkat. Untuk membantu proses analisa arus gangguan hubung singkat dan simulasi koordinasi OCR dan GFR pada kedua seksi jaringan ini digunakan software ETAP 12.6.0. Dari hasil perhitungan, diperoleh setting Iset dan TMS OCR dan GFR yang berbeda dengan setting pick up (Iset) dan TMS eksisting. Pada gangguan hubung singkat 3 fasa berdasarkan hasil simulasi, selisih waktu kerja relay berdasarkan setting eksisting sebesar 0,648 s, dan berdasarkan setting perhitungan sebesar 0,358 s, dimana standar selisih waktu kerja antar relay yang diijinkan berdasarkan IEC 60255-151 adalah sebesar 0,3 – 0,5 s. Berdasarkan hasil analisa, penulis merekomendasikan resetting setelan Iset dan TMS OCR dan GFR eksisting. Kata kunci – hubung singkat, koordinasi, OCR, GFR
