Abstract

According to Bachman et al (2006), information is perhaps the greatest advantage that the Internet offers users. The Internet is a real treasure trove of information. Any kind of information on any subject under the sun is available on the Internet. Web-based applications have a number of advantages over traditional desktop applications, most notably their portability. With web-based applications, users do not need to install additional software, and developers do not need to create multiple versions of the same application for different operating systems. Issuance of wanted lists of persons (Buron) that utilize information technology in the form of web-based applications that are transmitted using the internet and utilize multimedia in the form of photos and documents as a medium for conveying information to the wider community about the identities of perpetrators of criminal acts throughout Indonesia, such as photos and characteristics physical appearance, place and time of the crime, as well as legal documents issued by law enforcement officials for the perpetrators. The results of the development of this application can record data and information and then publish the identity of the perpetrators of criminal acts. The purpose of designing this webbased application is to make it easy for law enforcement officials to disseminate information and assist the public and law enforcement officials in identifying criminal offenders throughout Indonesia. So that it can narrow the space for the perpetrators of criminal acts to escape. Key words: information, web applications Menurut Bachman et al (2006), informasi mungkin merupakan keuntungan terbesar yang ditawarkan Internet kepada pengguna. Internet adalah harta karun informasi yang nyata. Segala jenis informasi tentang subjek apa pun di bawah matahari tersedia di Internet. Aplikasi berbasis web memiliki sejumlah keunggulan dibandingkan aplikasi desktop tradisional, terutama portabilitasnya. Dengan aplikasi berbasis web, pengguna tidak perlu memasang perangkat lunak tambahan, dan pengembang tidak perlu membuat beberapa versi dari aplikasi yang sama untuk sistem operasi yang berbeda. Penerbitan daftar pencarian orang (Buron) yang memanfaatkan teknologi informasi berupa aplikasi berbasis web yang ditransmisikan dengan menggunakan internet dan memanfaatkan multimedia berupa foto dan dokumen sebagai media penyampaian informasi kepada masyarakat luas tentang identitas para pelaku tindak pidana di seluruh Indonesia, seperti foto dan ciri-ciri fisik, tempat dan waktu kejadian tindak pidana, serta dokumen legal yang diterbitkan oleh aparat penegak hukum bagi para pelaku. Hasil pengembangan aplikasi ini dapat merekam data dan informasi kemudian mempublikasikan identitas para pelaku tindak pidana. Tujuan perancangan aplikasi berbasis web ini adalah untuk memberikan kemudahan kepada aparat penegak hukum untuk menyebarkan informasi dan membantu masyarakat serta aparat penegak hukum dalam mengidentifikasi para pelaku tindak pidana di seluruh wilayah Indonesia. Sehingga dapat mempersempit ruang gerak para pelaku tindak pidana yang melarikan diri. Kata kunci: informasi, aplikasi web
