Abstract

PT Kobe Boga Utama as an industrial company that manages the production of raw materials into ready-to-consume goods that has many customers spread all over Indonesia. The order system for the current production process is make to Order (MTO) which only produces the final product after the customer places an order. Where the initial time span of the message made until it is produced is 1 (one) month. In the time span of this process, orders are often not fulfilled due to the large demand for goods to be produced so that there is no control for the processing time of each product and the ineffectiveness of the order process of goods entering production, this is very influential on the supply of materials, scheduling is often changing and will be late delivery to the customer. To overcome these problems, we propose a website-based production ordering system to handle the queue of orders and processes using the First In First Out (FIFO) method. In software design using the Waterfall method. The result of this research is the development of a production management system that provides functions in data management booking transactions and can facilitate inter-departmental in getting information. Thus it is expected that PT Kobe Boga Utama can improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the production management process. Key words: Production orders, MTO, FIFO, Waterfall PT Kobe Boga Utama sebagai perusahaanindustriyang melakukan pengelolaan produksi bahan baku menjadi barang siap konsumsi yang memiliki banyak customer yang tersebar di seluruh Indonesia. Sistem pemesanan untuk proses produksi yang berjalan saat ini adalah make to Order (MTO) yang hanya memproduksi produk akhir setelah customer menempatkan pesanan. Dimana rentang waktu awal pesanandibuat sampai diproduksi adalah 1 (satu) bulan. Dalam rentang waktu proses tersebut sering sekali pesanan tidak terpenuhi dikarenakan banyaknya permintaan barang yang akan diproduksi sehingga tidak ada kontrol untuk waktu pengerjaan setiap produk serta tidak efektifnya urutan proses barang masuk produksi, hal ini sangat berpengaruh terhadap persediaan bahan material, penjadwalan yang sering berubah-ubah dan akan menjadi keterlambatan pengiriman ke customer. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut,kami mengusulkan suatu sistem pemesanan produksiberbasis website untuk menangani antrian pesanan dan proses dengan menggunakan metodeFirst In First Out (FIFO).Dalam perancangan perangkat lunak menggunakan metode Waterfall.Hasil penelitian ini adalah pengembangan sistem pengelolaan produksi yang memberikan fungsi dalam pengelolaan data transaksi pemesanan dan dapat mempemudah antar department dalam mendapatkan informasi.Dengan demikian diharapkan PT Kobe Boga Utama dapat meningkatkan efisiensi dan efektifitasproses pengelolaan produksi.
