Abstract

Revolusi Industri 4.0 mengubah pola hidup dan kerja manusia secara fundamental. Begitu juga dalam industri manufaktur yang menghasilkan produk untuk kebutuhan layanan komunikasi pada masa kini tidak hanya suara, melainkan juga data dan video. Maka diperlukan jaringan handal yang mampu memberikan performansi yang baik, salah satunya adalah jaringan Fiber Optic. Media komunikasi Fiber optic menjadi pilihan utama bagi pengguna yang menginginkan kualitas prima dalam berkomunikasi karena dibuat dengan teknologi yang terbilang canggih dan mahal, merupakan kabel jaringan yang dapat mentransmisi cahaya. Pelemahan transmisi cahaya berupa redaman (attenuation) menimbulkan rugi-rugi optic. Penelitian ini menganalisa dan melakukan perbaikan redaman dengan memperhitungkan faktor-faktor resiko performansi redaman (attenuation) terhadap variabel-variabel bending, fiber break dan inner diameter. Dengan menggunakan metode Six Sigma DMAIC dan pengukuran menggunakan OTDR (Optical Time- Domain Reflectometer) dan nilai attenuation kabel mengacu kepada standar ITU-R (International Telecomunication Union-Recommendation) G.652-D-201611 dan STEL K-016-2009 dari PT. Telkom Indonesia pada wavelength λ= 1310 dengan maksimum redaman adalah 0,35 dB/km. dan λ= 1550 nm dengan maksimum redaman adalah 0.21 dB/km. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan perbaikan performansi redaman kabel Fiber Optic menjadi 0.30 dB/km untuk λ= 1310 nm dan 0.18 dB/km untuk λ= 1550 dengan cara perbaikan (improvement) variabel-variabel bending dan fiber break dilakukan perbaikan standar length gulungan kabel fiber optic dan variabel dimensi dilakukan optimasi menggunakan tools Design of Experiments (DOE) menghasilkan setting terbaiknya adalah flow jelly 43 gr/ menit, line speed sebesar 80 mpm, dibutuhkan 6 pcs jumlah fiber dan dengan inner diameter adalah 1.2 mm. Hasil penelitian ini merupakan suatu kebaruan (novelty) dari penelitian terdahulu. Kata kunci : Fiber Optic,attenuation,bending,fiber break,dimensi,Six Sigma DMAIC, wavelength λ=1310 nm dan λ=1550 nm The Industrial Revolution 4.0 has fundamentally changed human life and work patterns. Likewise in the manufacturing industry which produces products for today's communication service needs not only voice, but also data and video. So we need a reliable network that is able to provide good performance, one of which is the Fiber Optic network. Fiber optic communication media is the main choice for users who want excellent quality in communicating because it is made with technology that is fairly sophisticated and expensive, is a network cable that can transmit light. Attenuation of light transmission in the form of attenuation causes optical losses. This study analyzes and repairs damping by taking into account risk factors for attenuation performance on bending, fiber break and inner diameter variables. By using the Six Sigma DMAIC method and measurements using the OTDR (Optical Time-Domain Reflectometer) and the cable attenuation value refers to the ITU-R (International Telecommunications Union-Recommendation) standard G.652-D-201611 and STEL K-016-2009 from PT. Telkom Indonesia on the wavelength λ= 1310 with a maximum attenuation of 0.35 dB/km. and λ= 1550 nm with a maximum attenuation of 0.21 dB/km. From the results of the study, it was found that the attenuation performance of Fiber Optic cables was improved to 0.30 dB/km for λ= 1310 nm and 0.18 dB/km for λ= 1550 by improving the bending and fiber break variables by improving the standard length of fiber optic cable reels and dimensional variables were optimized using the Design of Experiments (DOE) tools resulting in the best setting being flow jelly 43 gr/minute, line speed of 80 mpm, 6 pcs of fiber needed and with an inner diameter of 1.2 mm.
