Abstract

In the world of oil and gas, pipeline is one of the transportation alternatives to move refined oil and gas products, so the pipeline must have very high security to avoid leakage or failure, but the use of pipe line does not fully have high security so failure occurs such as leak caused by corrosion. Coatings are an alternative for pipe protection from corrosion attacks, however, in their application when the placement process, transportation process and coating application process must be carried out in stages and thoroughly so that all pipe lines can be protected from corrosion. Different temperatures cause corrosion when using the pipe line. The coating process is carried out using epoxy, polyurethane and silicone materials. The type of coating material affects the durability of the coating, so it needs to be done with care that certainly requires costs in the treatment process. Of the several coating materials applied, the durability of the material must be considered. Because it affects the efficiency of the material applied, the material durability must be considered because it affects the cost efficiency of the pipe line maintenance. Keyword : Pipe, Corrosion, Coating, Life time and Cost Dalam dunia minyak gas dan bumi, pipa merupakan salah satu alternative transportasi untuk memindahkan produk olahan minyak dan gas, sehingga pipa harus memiliki keamanan yang sangat tinggi untuk menghindari terjadinya kebocoran atau kegagalan, namun penggunaan pipe line tidak sepenuhnya memiliki keamanan yang tinggi sehingga terjadi kegagalan seperti kebocoranyang disebabkan karena adanya korosi. Coating menjadi alternatif untuk perlindungan pipa dari serangan korosi namun, pada aplikasinya ketika proses penempatan, proses transportasi dan proses aplikasi coating harus dilakukan secara bertahap dan secara menyeluruh agar semua pipe line dapat terlindungi dari korosi. Temperatur yang berbeda menyebabkan korosi ketika penggunaan pipe line tersebut. Proses coating dilakukan dengan menggunakan material epoxy, polyurethane dan silicone. Jenis material coating mempengaruhi durablitas coating tersebut sehingga perlu dilakukan perawatan yang pastinya memerlukan biaya dalam proses perawatan. Dari beberapa material coating yang diaplikasikan harus diperhatikan durabiltas materialnya Karena berpengaruh pada efisensi bia yang diaplikasikan harus diperhatikan durabiltas materialnya Karena berpengaruh pada efisensi biaya perawatan pipe line pipe line tersebut.
