Abstract

PT XYZ is a manufacturing company that produces motorcycle tires. Machines used in the production process include Banbury Mixing machines, Open Mill, Extruder, Topping Calendar, Bias Cutting, Bead Grommets, Building and Curing. However, of all the machines available, the Pre Assembly 02 engine experienced a decrease in engine effectiveness so that the production process was not achieved. Therefore it is necessary to have research on the level of machine effectiveness, losses that occur and to find the root causes of problems that occur. The research was conducted on the Pre Assembly 02 machine because it has a high downtime rate, so its effectiveness level needs to be analyzed. The research begins by measuring the level of machine effectiveness using the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) method, followed by measuring six big losses to determine the losses that occur in the machine, then using a causal diagram can analyze the actual problem which is the main cause of losses. happened to the Building machine. The average value of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) for Pre Assembly 02 machines in the period March 2020 was 42.5%, where this value has not met the JIPM standard of 85%. The biggest average losses were found in Idling & Minor Stoppages Losses, which was 14.4%. The root cause of the problem of not achieving the OEE value is, the production process uses only one let off, the absence of handling on the wind up which causes the OB tip to fold so that the machine has to stop to cut the OB to fold, and the shaft for the material uses a shaft holder so that two operators are needed. in changing the material. Keywords: Pre Assembly 02, TPM, OEE, Six Big Losses, Cause & Effect Diagram PT XYZ merupakan perusahaan manufaktur yang memproduksi ban motor (Motorcycle Tire). Mesin yang digunakan dalam proses produksinya meliputi mesin Banbury Mixing, Open Mill, Extruder, Topping Calendar, Bias Cutting, Bead Grommet, Building dan Curing. Namun, dari semua mesin yang ada, mesin Pre Assembly 02 mengalami penurunan efektivitas mesin sehingga proses produksi tidak tercapai. Oleh karena itu perlu adanya penelitian mengenai tingkat efektivitas mesin, losses yang terjadi serta mencari akar penyebab permasalahan yang terjadi. Penelitian dilakukan pada mesin Pre Assembly 02 karena memiliki tingkat downtime yang tinggi, sehingga tingkat efektivitasnya perlu dianalisis. Penelitian dimulai dengan mengukur tingkat efektivitas mesin dengan mengguanakan Metode Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) yang kemudian dilanjutkan dengan pengukuran six big losses untuk mengetahui kerugian (losses) yang terjadi pada mesin, kemudian dengan diagram sebab akibat dapat dianalisis masalah sebenarnya yang menjadi penyebab utama losses yang terjadi pada mesin Building. Nilai rata - rata Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) mesin Pre Assembly 02 pada periode bulan Maret 2020 sebesar 42,5%, dimana nilai ini belum memenuhi standar JIPM sebesar 85%. Rata-rata losses yang terbesar terdapat pada Idling & Minor Stoppages Losses yaitu sebesar 14,4%. Akar penyebab permasalahan tidak tercapainya nilai OEE adalah, proses produksi yang hanya menggunakan satu let off, tidak adanya handling pada wind up yang menyebabkan ujung OB pada melipat sehingga mesin harus berhenti untuk memotong OB mellipat, dan shaft untuk material menggunakan shaft holder sehingga dibutuhkan dua oprator dalam pergantian material nya.
