Abstract

Penerapan pengkondisian udara atau biasa disebut dengan Air Conditioner (AC) dalam kehidupan sehari – hari sudah menjadi kebiasaan. Pengkondisian udara untuk ruang kelas maupun ruang praktek di SMKN 8 Tangerang masih menggunakan AC tipe Standing maupun AC tipe Split dalam pembelajaran. Metode yang digunakan untuk menganalisis kinerja AC yaitu metode eksperimen dan Finite Volume Method (FVM). Metode eksperimen dengan pengukuran langsung digunakan untuk mengukur suhu rata – rata ruangan, kecepatan udara dan arus listrik untuk mengoperasikan AC sedangkan untuk pola aliran udara yang tidak terlihat secara kasat mata dapat dilakukan dengan Finite Volume Method (FVM). Hasil penelitian menggunakan metode eksperimen maupun FVM bahwa AC Standing 160C sudut inlet 450 menghasilkan suhu rata - rata 25,040C yang merupakan masuk ke dalam suhu ideal berdasarkan metode eksperimen sedangkan pada FVM suhunya sebesar 26,80C dengan perbandingan error sebesar 7%. Berdasarkan pola aliran udara dan kecepatan udara AC Standing 160C sudut inlet 450 merupakan AC yang paling baik karena pola alirannya menyebar keseluruh ruangan dan kecepatan udaranya antara 0,15 m/s hingga 0,3m/s sesuai standar nilai ADPI. Berdasarkan kinerja yang telah disebut tersebut juga berbanding lurus dengan biaya listrik yang harus dibayarkan selama 1 tahun sebesar Rp 5.637.060. Kata Kunci : AC tipe Standing, AC tipe Split, Finite Volume Method (FVM), ADPI The application of air conditioning or commonly referred to as Air Conditioner (AC) in everyday life has become a habit. Air conditioning for classrooms and practice rooms at SMKN 8 Tangerang still uses Standing and Split type ACs in learning. The methods used to analyze the performance of the air conditioner are the experimental method and the Finite Volume Method (FVM). The experimental method with direct measurement is used to measure the average room temperature, air velocity and electric current to operate the air conditioner while for airflow patterns that are not visible to the naked eye can be done with the Finite Volume Method (FVM). The results of the study used the experimental method and FVM that AC Standing 160C inlet angle 450 resulted in an average temperature of 25.040C which is the ideal temperature based on the experimental method while in FVM the temperature was 26.80C with an error ratio of 7%. Based on the air flow pattern and air velocity, Standing AC 160C inlet angle of 450 is the best AC because the flow pattern spreads throughout the room and the air velocity is between 0.15 m/s to 0.3 m/s according to the standard ADPI value. Based on the performance that has been mentioned, it is also directly proportional to the electricity costs that must be paid for 1 year of IDR 5,637,060.
