Abstract
A pH meter device is a tool that can measure the acidity and alkalinity of a sample, generally the existing pH meter is in the form of a glass electrode which functions as a measure of the number of ions in a sample. In general, the nature of glass that is prone to breaking makes the sensor prone to leaks, this time Ion selective electrode (ISE) is based on polypyrrole and cloth/carbon electrodes. The carbon coating itself uses the screenprinting method, with paraffin wax as a membrane with various thicknesses, the optimum sensor thickness value is obtained at 8mm. then the fabric/carbon sensor is tested with parameters of variations in polypyrrole coating time and the applied voltage during coating. The optimal value was obtained at the voltage variation at 4.5 Volts using the electrodeposition method with a coating time of 30 seconds, in the pH response test using the potentiometry method the slope value was 54.173 mV/decade in the pH response test using pH buffers 4, 7, and 10 where the value is in accordance with IUPAC standards.
