Abstract

Bearing is a machine element that is usually used to support a shaft that has a load which aims to separate the rotating part from the stationary part so that the rotation or alternating friction can take place properly. Bearings are often damaged apart from age, damage to bearings is caused by poor maintenance. This study aims to determine the main causes of bearing failure in a cable granulator crusher machine. By checking the vibration at no-load and maximum load conditions, the granulator crusher machine that uses rolling bearings is assumed to experience damage to the bearing components. The frequency analysis method is used to determine the characteristics of the vibration signal from the bearing when the machine is at no load and maximum load. Measurements to obtain vibration data used the SKF microlog analyzer CMXA-80 vibration meter. From the results of vibration checking, it was found that there was bearing damage on the inner track with a frequency value exceeding 4x Ball Pass Frequency Inner Race (BPFI), namely 534 Hz. Next, visual check the actual condition of the bearings and obtain cracks in the inner track. Indications of bearing damage are caused by pulley misalignment and belt flapping. . Keywords: vibration, bearing failure, crusher granulator machine, frequency analysis Bantalan merupakan suatu elemen mesin yang biasanya digunakan untuk menumpu poros yang memiliki beban yang bertujuan untuk memisahkan bagian yang berputar dengan bagian yang diam agar putaran atau gesekan bolak-balik dapat berlangsung baik. Bearing sering mengalami kerusakan selain karena faktor umur, kerusakan pada bantalan disebabkan oleh perawatan yang kurang baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penyebab utama kegagalan bearing pada mesin crusher granulator kabel. Dengan melakukan pengecekan vibrasi pada kondisi tanpa beban dan beban maksimal mesin crusher granulator yang menggunakan bantalan gelinding diasumsikan mengalami kerusakan pada komponen bantalan. Metode analisa frekuensi digunakan untuk mengetahui karakteristik sinyal getaran dari bearing pada saat mesin dalam kondisi tanpa beban dan beban maksimal. Pengukuran untuk memperoleh data vibrasi digunakan alat ukur vibrasi SKF microlog analyzer CMXA-80. Dari hasil pengecekan vibrasi diperoleh adanya kerusakan bearing pada bagian lintasan dalam dengan nilai frekuensi melebihi 4x Ball Pass Frequency Inner Race (BPFI) yaitu 534 Hz. Selajutnya pada pengecekan visual kondisi aktual bearing dan diperoleh adanya keretakan pada lintasan dalam.
