Abstract
The Aircraft Service Company at Soekarno Hatta Airport in the Maintenance and Engineering Department experienced a decrease in the performance of the Baggage Towing Tractor tool in inventory number 413. The BTT 413 unit experienced 20 total damages in the period from January to June 2022. Therefore researchers are trying to improve the performance of the tool with an approach to Fault Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA). The use of Pareto resulted in 13 data types of damage, one of which was unable to start with a weight of 30%, a caliper disc broke with a weight of 10%, and the headlamp died with a weight of 10%. With the FMEA method, it is known that the RPN results with the highest value are the priority for repair, namely unable to start with an RPN value of 381, a broken starter flange with an RPN value of 344, and a broken leaf spring with an RPN value of 236. In the FTA analysis, the root cause of the damage is found, such as a damaged battery element, operators don't do daily checks, mechanics don't do maintenance according to check sheets, and so on. Then a recommendation for improvement is obtained to increase the optimization of the tool, namely conducting training for operators, and ensuring that mechanics carry out maintenance according to check sheets and manual books. Keywords: Pareto, FMEA, FTA Perusahaan Pelayanan Pesawat di Bandara Soekarno Hatta pada Departemen Maintenance dan Engineering mengalami penurunan kinerja alat Baggage Towing Tractor pada nomor inventory 413. Pada unit BTT 413 mengalami 20 total kerusakan pada periode Januari sampai juni 2022. Oleh karena itu peneliti mencoba untuk memperbaiki kinerja alat dengan pendekatan Fault Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) dan Fault Tree Analysis (FTA). Penggunaan pareto menghasilkan 13 data jenis kerusakan salah satunya, yaitu tidak bisa start dengan bobot sebesar 30%, disk caliper pecah dengan bobot sebesar 10%, dan head lamp mati dengan bobot sebesar 10%. Dengan metode FMEA diketahui hasil RPN dengan nilai tertinggi sebagai prioritas perbaikan, yaitu tidak bisa start dengan nilai RPN 381, flange starter patah dengan nilai RPN 344, dan leaf spring patah dengan nilai RPN 236. Pada analisis FTA didapatkan akar penyebab kerusakan seperti elemen aki rusak, operator tidak melakukan daily check, mekanik tidak melakukan perawatan sesuai check sheet, dan lain sebagainya. Kemudian didapatkan usulan perbaikan untuk meningkatkan keoptimalan pada alat, yaitu melakukan training kepada operator, dan memastikan mekanik melakukan perawatan sesuai check sheet dan manual book.
