Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of leverage, profitability, liquidity, public shareholding portion, firm age and firm size on environmental performance based on empirical research. Environmental performance is measured using the PROPER ratings provided by the Ministry of Environment. Sampling through purposive sampling method in order to get participants PROPER 46 companies listed on the Stock Exchange in 2011 – 2013. Data analysis in this study using multinomial logistic regression because of environmental performance are ordinal. These results indicate that there is significant impact between leverage, profitability, liquidity, public shareholding portion, firm age and firm size on environmental performance simultaneously. Partially, leverage, public shareholding portion and firm size have a significant impact on the environmental performance. The rest, profitability, liquidity and firm age does not significantly impact the environmental performance. Keywords: Environmental Performance, PROPER, Leverage, Profitability, Liquidity, Public Shareholding Portion, Firm Age, Firm Size Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji pengaruh leverage, profitabilitas, likuiditas, porsi kepemilikan saham public, umur perusahaan dan ukuran perusahaan terhadap kinerja lingkungan hidup perusahaan berdasarkan pada studi empiris. Kinerja lingkungan diukur menggunakan peringkat dalam PROPER yang disediakan oleh Kementerian Lingkungan Hidup. Pengambilan sampel melalui metode purposive sampling sehingga didapat 46 perusahaan peserta PROPER yang tercatat di BEI pada tahun 2011 – 2013. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan regresi logistic multinomial. Menggunakan regresi logistic multinomial sebab kinerja lingkungan hidup merupakan data ordinal yang berbentuk kategori. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan antara leverage, profitabilitas, likuiditas, porsi kepemilikan saham public, umur perusahaan dan ukuran perusahaan terhadap kinerja lingkungan hidup perusahaan secara simultan. Secara parsial, leverage, porsi kepemilikan saham dan ukuran perusahaan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja lingkungan hidup perusahaan. Sisanya, profitabilitas, likuiditas dan umur perusahaan berpengaruh tidak signifikan terhdap kinerja lingkungan hidup perusahaan.
