Abstract

Mental health is a very crucial problem that often occurs in early adult students who experience "People come and go". one of the factors of the increase in mental health cases is caused by "people come and go" so that it makes it easy for a person to feel lonely and end up with mental health problems. The purpose of this study was to see the relationship between loneliness and mental health in early adult students who experienced "people come and go" at Mercu Buana Meruya University, West Jakarta. Using quantitative descriptive design methods with a correlational approach. Data collection using questionnaires on google forms. The sampling technique is nonprobability using the accidental sampling technique method. The subjects of this study were obtained by 221 respondents from Regular S1 Students 1 in all majors at Mercu Buana Meruya University, West Jakarta. The results obtained in the analysis with Pearson's correlation analysis method showed that there was a significant negative relationship between loneliness and mental health in early adult students who experienced "people come and go" at Mercu Buana Meruya University, West Jakarta. The value of the correlation coefficient with the help of the SPSS version 22 program was obtained by --0.538 which means that the relationship is still relatively moderate. Furthermore, the Loneliness variable can be analyzed to show that there is the highest percentage in the Medium category, namely with the number of 156 people with a percentage of 72.6%. This shows that the average respondent belongs to the tendency of moderate loneliness. and The Mental Health Variable was found to be the highest percentage in the moderate category with 66% or as many as 142 people indicating the level of Mental Health to be in the moderate category. Keywords: Loneliness, Mental Health Kesehatan mental merupakan masalah yang sangat krusial yang sering terjadi pada mahasiswa dewasa awal yang mengalami “People come and go” salah satu faktor meningkatnya kasus kesehatan mental disebabkan oleh “people come and go” sehingga membuat seseorang mudah merasakan kesepian dan berakhir dengan masalah kesehatan mental. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat hubungan antara kesepian dengan dengan kesehatan mental pada mahasiswa dewasa awal yang mengalami “people come and go” Universitas Mercu Buana Meruya Jakarta Barat. Menggunakan metode desain deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan korelasional. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner pada google formulir. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah non-probability dengan menggunakan metode teknik accidental sampling. Subjek penelitian ini didapat 221 responden dari Mahasiswa S1 Reguler 1 seluruh jurusan di Universitas Mercu Buana Meruya Jakarta Barat. Hasil yang didapat di analisis dengan metode analisis Pearson’s correlation dengan menunjukan terdapat hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara kesepian dengan dengan kesehatan mental pada mahasiswa dewasa awal yang mengalami “people come and go” Universitas Mercu Buana Meruya Jakarta Barat. Nilai koefisien korelasi dengan bantuan program SPSS version 22 didapat sebesar --0,538 yang berarti hubungan masih tergolong sedang. Selanjutnya Pada variabel Kesepian dapat dianalisis bahwa terdapat peresentase tertinggi berada pada kategori Sedang yaitu dengan jumlah 156 orang dengan persentase 72,6 %. Hal ini menunjukan rata-rata responden termasuk ke dalam kecenderungan Kesepian yang sedang. dan Variabel Kesehatan Mental didapatkan peresentase tertinggi berada pada kategori sedang dengan 66 % atau sebanyak 142 orang yang menunjukan tingkat Kesehatan Mental berada pada kategori sedang.
