Abstract

Attachment with parents since baby will have an impact on a person's emotional development in the future, because the attachment is not just a personal experience that occurs in individuals, but is influenced by thoughts and emotions in responding to they experience. Attachment with parents can form an internal working model that can regulate the formation of one's feelings, memories, ideas and hopes in establishing relationships with others as adults. If the attachment between parents and children is well established, then when the child grows up and establishes relationships with other people, they will feel safe. This study used a qualitative approach with the interview method in which the number of participants consisted of three people according to the researcher's criteria, parental divorced. Researchers examined the participants' attachment to divorced parents to determine their romantic attachment to their partners. The results of this study indicate that two subjects have an attachment to their mother and one subject has an attachment to their father. Two subjects who are attached to their mother tend to have a negative self-model, namely having low selfconfidence, not easy to socialize and have an introverted personality, while subjects who are attached to their father are more sensitive, emotional, and vengeful. Then for the model of other, the three of them have in common trust issues, especially the men, in their romantic relationship because of the trauma of their parents' marriage. Although the three participants had the trauma of their parents' divorce, the three of them hoped to get rid of this trauma so that when they entered into a romantic relationship they would not repeat the same thing as their parents, namely divorce. Kelekatan dengan orang tua sejak dini akan berdampak terhadap perkembangan emosi seseorang di kemudian hari, karena kelekatan ini bukan hanya sekedar pengalaman personal yang terjadi pada individu, melainkan dipengaruhi oleh pikiran dan emosi dalam menyikapi pengalaman tersebut. Kelekatan dengan orang tua dapat membentuk suatu internal working model yang dapat mengatur pembentukan perasaan, ingatan, ide dan harapan seseorang dalam menjalin hubungan dengan orang lain di saat dewasa. Jika kelekatan antara orang tua dan anak terjalin dengan baik, maka ketika anak beranjak dewasa dan menjalin hubungan dengan orang lain akan merasa aman. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode wawancara yang jumlah partisipannya terdiri dari tiga orang sesuai kriteria peneliti yakni mempunyai orang tua yang bercerai. Peneliti meneliti kelekatan partisipan dengan orang tua yang bercerai untuk mengetahui kelekatan romantisnya dengan pasangan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dua subjek memiliki kelekatan dengan ibu dan satu subjek memiliki kelekatan dengan ayah. Dua subjek yang memiliki kelekatan dengan ibu cenderung memiliki model of self yang negatif yaitu memiliki kepercayaan diri yang rendah, tidak mudah bersosialisasi serta memiliki kepribadian introvert, sementara untuk subjek yang memiliki kelekatan dengan ayah lebih sensitif, emosional, juga pendendam. Kemudian untuk model of other ketiganya memiliki kesamaan untuk tidak mudah mempercayai seseorang khususnya lawan jenis dalam hubungan romantisnya karena trauma terhadap pernikahan orang tuanya. Walaupun ketiga partisipan memiliki trauma perceraian orang tua, namun ketiganya berharap dapat menghilangkan trauma tersebut sehingga ketika menjalin suatu hubungan romantis tidak akan mengulang hal yang sama seperti orang tuanya yaitu bercerai.
