Abstract

The place to conduct research is PT. Indalux Enterprindo for public Street Light (PJU) products for its raw materials namely Base Plate and SS 41. The problem is that often the purchase of raw material is not in accordance with the usage needed for a month. To determine how much raw material is needed to avoid overstock that is using material Material Requirement Planning (MRP). In this study, the first thing to do is calculate the estimed demand for Public Street Lighting products by consumers, then determine how much raw material needs must be prepared to meet the needs of these products. Forecasting is calculated using POM-QM and Ms. Excel. Forecasting methods used are Moving Average (MA), Weight Moving Average (WMA), Exponential Smoothing (ES). Then next calculate the raw materials using the MRP method which lot size is Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), Lot For Lot (LFL), and Fixed Periode Requirement (FPR). Based on calculation forecasting of Base Plate raw material which has the smallest error value, namely the Exponential Smoothing method (alpha 0.1) MAD = 56.3, MSE = 9680, MAPE = 2.92. For SS 41 raw material smallest error value is the Moving Average (MA) method for 5 months period MAD = 103.89, MSE = 16895, MAPE = 0.74. Then most optimal lot size is the Lot For Lot (LFL) lot size for two raw materials, the total inventory cost is Rp3.025.000. Keywords: Inventory, MRP, Forecasting, and Lot Size Techniques. Tempat untuk melakukan penelitian adalah pabrik PT. Indalux Enterorindo pada produk Penerangan Jalan Umum (PJU) untuk bahan bakunya yaitu Base Plate dan SS 41. Permasalahan yang ada yaitu sering terjadinya pembelian bahan baku tidak sesuai dengan pemakaian yang dibutuhkan selama sebulan. Untuk menentukan berapa banyak bahan baku yang diperlukan untuk menghindari kelebihan persediaan (overstock) yaitu memakai metode Material Requirement Planning (MRP). Dalam penelitian ini hal pertama yang dilakukan adalah melakukan perhitungan peramalan permintaan terhadap produk Penerangan Jalan Umum oleh konsumen, lalu menentukan berapa banyak kebutuhan terhadap bahan baku yang harus disiapkan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan produk tersebut. peramalan dihitung dengan menggunakan software POM-QM dan Ms.Excel. Metode Peramalan yang digunakan yaitu Moving Average (MA), Weight Moving Average (WMA) dan Exponential Smoothing (ES). Lalu berikutnya menghitung bahan baku dengan metode MRP yang lot size-nya Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), Lot For Lot (LFL), dan Fixed Period Requirement (FPR). Berdasarkan perhitungan untuk peramalan yang terbaik pada bahan baku Base Plate yang memiliki nilai error terkecil yaitu metode Exponential Smoothing (alpha 0.1) MAD = 56.3, MSE = 9680, MAPE = 2.92. Untuk bahan baku SS 41 nilai error yang terkecil yaitu metode Moving Average (MA) periode 5 bulan MAD = 103.89, MSE = 16895, MAPE = 0.74. Lalu lot size yang paling optimal yaitu lot size Lot For Lot (LFL) untuk kedua bahan baku total biaya persediaannya yaitu Rp. 3.025.000. Kata Kunci : Inventory, MRP, Peramalan dan Teknik Lot Size.
