Abstract
Choosing the right rod is important in fishing activities where the rod has special specifications in terms of power. The purpose of this research was to build an expert system for determining the right fishing rod based on a website that fits the needs of the spot and target fish. This application was expected to be used by beginners anglers. The method used in building this expert system was the Waterfall method with the Forward Chaining algorithm. The design of use cases, activities diagram, sequence diagram , entity relationship diagram and class diagrams uses the Unified Modeling Language and system flowcharts and mock ups are made using draw.io and the database uses Mysql PHPMyAdmin. PHP was used as a programming language using the CodeIgniter Framework. The data needed was the type of fishing rod based on power, fish type, fish weight and fishing spot. The data were obtained from e-book and several anglers who were used as informants at fishing spots. Some of the criteria used in determining the fishing rod include the type of fishing area, the fish weight, and the target fish species with rules was stated using decision tree. Testing was carried out using the black-box method to test whether the system was running as expected. The results of the study show that all application features consisting of managing criteria data, managing rule data, and managing result data, admin login and consulting features run as expected Key words: Fishing rod, pakar system, forward chaining Memilih joran yang tepat merupakan hal yang penting dalam kegiatan memancing dimana joran memiliki spesifikasi khusus dari segi power. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah membangun sistem pakar penentuan Joran yang tepat berbasis website yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan spot dan target ikan. Aplikasi ini diharapkan dapat digunakan oleh pemancing pemula. Metode yang digunakan dalam membangun sistem pakar ini adalah metode Waterfall dengan algotirma Forward Chaining. Perancangan use case, activity, sequence diagram , entity relationship diagram dan class diagram menggunakan Unified Modelling Language dan flowchart sistem serta Mock Up dibuat menggunakan draw.io dan database menggunakan Mysql PHPMyAdmin. PHP digunakan sebagai Bahasa pemograman dengan mengggunakan Framework Codeiginiter. Data yang dibutuhkan berupa jenis Joran berdasarkan power, jenis ikan, berat ikan dan spot area pancing. Data diperoleh dari buku teks serta beberapa pemancing yang dijadikan narasumber di spot pemancingan. Beberapa kriteria yang digunakan dalam penentuan joran antara lain jenis area pemancingan, berat ikan yang ingin dipancing, dan target jenis ikan dengan aturan yang dinyatakan dalam pohon keputusan. Pengujian dilakukan menggunakan metode black-box untuk menguji sistem apakah berjalan dengan sesuai harapan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semua fitur aplikasi yang terdiri dari kelola data kriteria, kelola data rule, dan kelola data hasil, login admin daan fitur konsultasi berjalan semestinya sesuai yang diharapkan.
