Abstract

The final project is a requirement for every student who will complete higher education and to be able to make or arrange it, he is obliged to carry out research activities. Research activities can be carried out after previously fulfilling all administrative requirements set by the head of the education program, which in this case is the departmental work unit at STSN. To be able to complete the final project report at STSN, there are stages that must be followed by students starting from the preparation of Idea Concept Paper (ICP), suggestions from supervisors, guidance process, submission of proposals and final assignments, conducting seminars and final project sessions which have been recorded so far. paper based and can only be done during working hours. The increase in the number of students each year has an impact on increasing workload, especially in the management of final assignments, therefore to increase the effectiveness and efficiency, an application is needed that can replace the flow of information that is still paper based into a flow of information that is paper less. So from the description above, this final project will discuss a final project information system design at STSN using the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with the Waterfall design model where the design is preceded by a SWOT analysis process. The results of this final project produce an information system design consisting of Usecase, Activity Diagrams, Sequence Diagrams, Class diagrams and Mock Ups involving students, administrative officers, lecturers and heads of the Education Program. Key words: Final Project, Idea Concept Paper (ICP), SDLC Tugas akhir merupakan persyaratan setiap mahasiswa yang akan menyelesaikan pendidikan diperguruan tinggi dan untuk dapat membuat atau menyusunnya wajib melaksanakan kegiatan penelitian. Kegiatan penelitian dapat terlaksana setelah sebelumnya terpenuhi semua ketentuan administrasi yang ditetapkan oleh pimpinan program pendidikan yang dalam hal ini adalah unit kerja jurusan pada STSN. Untuk dapat menyelesaikan laporan tugas akhir di STSN terdapat tahapan yang harus diikuti oleh mahasiswa mulai dari pengajunan Idea Concept Paper (ICP), usulan dosen pembimbing, proses bimbingan, pengajuan proposal dan tugas akhir, melaksanakan seminar dan sidang tugas akhir yang hingga saat ini dilakukan tercatat paper based dan hanya dapat dilakukan pada jam kerja. Bertambahnya jumlah mahasiswa setiap tahunnya berdampak pada peningkatan beban kerja khususnya dalam pengelolaan administrasi tugas akhir karenanya untuk meningkatkan efektivitas dan efisiensi dibutuhkan suatu aplikasi yang dapat menggantikan aliran informasi yang masih bersifat paper based menjadi aliran informasi yang paper less. Maka dari uraian diatas, tugas akhir ini akan membahas suatu rancangan sistem informasi tugas akhir di STSN dengan menggunakan System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) dengan model desain Waterfall dimana dalam perancangan tersebut didahului proses analisis SWOT. Hasil dari tugas akhir ini adalah sebuah rancangan sistem informasi yang terdiri atas Usecase, Diagram Activity, Diagram Sequence, Class diagram dan Mock Up yang melibatkan mahasiswa, petugas administrasi, Dosen dan ketua Program Pendidikan.
