Abstract
It is proven by the manufacturing value added (MVA) figure in the industry that has occupied the top position among ASEAN countries by reaching a value of 4.5%. In a global scope, Indonesian manufacturing is ranked 9 out of all countries in the world. Ineffective and efficient company production processes can cause production not to run smoothly, such as the accumulation of raw materials and semi-finished goods (WIP) on the production floor which is called a bottleneck. One of the reasons for the bottleneck is the imbalance in the processing time on the production floor, where there is a process that takes a very long time. This problem is caused by waste or waste which causes the production process on the can making line to experience delays. With the value stream mapping method, it is able to map where the waste occurs, so that it can facilitate this research to lead to an effective and efficient process. Based on the results of the analysis, the waste found can be repaired with a lean manufacture approach using kaizen brust in value stream mapping with improvements with several tools such as balance of work trajectories using line balancing, therblig maps to reduce excess activity, kanban systems (pull systems), systems first in first out (FIFO). By using the value stream mapping method, this research was able to produce a decrease in the value added value of 12% and also a decrease in the non-value added value of 49% from the total delay time of 6 days to 3 days so that decrease in total production time by 46%. Dibuktikan dengan angka manufacturing value added (MVA) pada industri telah menduduki posisi teratas diantara negara – negara ASEAN dengan mencapai nilai sebesar 4,5%. Dalam lingkup global, manufaktur Indonesia berada pada peringkat 9 dari seluruh negara yang ada di dunia. Proses produksi perusahaan yang tidak efektif dan efisien dapat menyebabkan produksi tidak lancar, seperti halnya penumpukan bahan baku dan barang setengah jadi (WIP) pada lantai produksi yang disebut bottleneck. Terjadinya bottleneck salah satunya dapat disebabkan oleh ketidakseimbangan waktu proses-proses di lantai produksi yang mana ada proses yang membutuhkan waktu yang sangat lama. Masalah tersebut disebabkan karena adanya pemborosan atau waste yang menyebabkan proses produksi pada lintasan can making mengalami keterlambatan. Dengan metode value stream mapping mampu memetakan dimana proses terjadinya waste, sehingga mampu memudahkan penelitian ini mengarah pada proses yang efektif dan efisien. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, waste yang ditemukan mampu di perbaiki dengan pendekatan lean manufacture menggunakan kaizen brust pada pemetaan value stream mapping dengan improvement dengan beberapa tools seperti, kesimbangan lintasan kerja menggunakan line balancing, peta therblig mereduksi aktivitas berlebih, sistem kanban (pull system), sistem first in first out (FIFO). Dengan menggunakan metode value stream mapping penelitian ini mampu menghasilkan penurunan pada nilai value added sebesar 12% dan juga penurunan pada nilai non value added sebesar 49% dari total waktu keterlambatan selama 6 hari menjadi 3 hari sehingga penurunan total waktu produksi sebesar 46%.
