Abstract

This FTTH network design simulation is to determine the Rise Time Budget and Power Link Budget. This simulation is also intended to assist engineersin the field in reference to FTTH network design, where the design will besuccessful if the parameter values are met. Also to introduce and simplify fiber opticcommunication learning systems for calculating Rise Time Budget and Power LinkBudget. To simplify this, a Matlab based Virtual Labolatory with GPON technology was created. Measurements were made by designing a simulation with Matlab R2014a.With parameter values adjusted to the ITU-T and PT Telkom Indonesia standards, which are useful in determining the Power Link Budget and Rise Time Budget to make it more accurate. The simulation results show the feasibility of the system for the Power Link Budget and Rise Time Budget. With a total attenuation value of 21.2965 dBand a Prx value of -22.2965 dBm. The Tr value is 0.28 ns and the Tsystem value is 0.256669ns .Keywords : FTTH, GPON, Rise Time Budget, Power Link Budget Simulasi jaringan FTTH ini untuk menentukan Rise Time Budget dan Power Link Budget. Simulasi ini juga diperuntukkan untuk membantu engineer dilapangan dalam referensi perancangan jaringan FTTH, yang mana Perancangan akan berhasil apabila nilai parameter-parameter terpenuhi. Juga untuk memperkenalkan dan mempermudah sistem pembelajaran komunikasi serat optik untuk perhitungan Rise Time Budget dan Power Link Budget. Untuk mempermudah hal tersebut dibuatlah Virtual Labolatory berbasis matlab dengan teknologi GPON. Pengukuran dilakukan dengan merancang sebuah simulasi dengan Matlab R2014a. Dengan nilai parameter yang disesuaikan dengan standar ITU-T dan PT.Telkom Indonesia, yang berguna dalam menentukan Power Link Budget dan Rise Time Budget agar lebih akurat. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan kelayakan sistem untuk Power Link Budget dan Rise Time Budget. Dengan nilai redaman total sebesar 21.2965 dB dan nilai Prx sebesar -22.2965 dBm. Nilai Tr sebesar 0.28 ns dan nilai Tsystem sebesar 0.256669ns. Kata kunci : FTTH, GPON, Rise Time Budget, Power Link Budget
