Abstract

PT Mayora Indah is a manufacturing company engaged in food and beverage. One of the Raw Materials used is Cheese Powder. The problem faced is the purchase of high material, but the actual usage every month is less than the planning that has been made before, causing the stock in the warehouse to accumulate over a long period of time. To solve this problem, a more mature inventory plan is needed where arrangements are made for the arrival schedule, the amount ordered and the frequency of purchases made each month. The method used to solve this problem is the Continuous Review System (Q) method, the Periodic Review System (P) method, and the Min-Max method. Anakisis is done by comparing the total inventory costs that must be spent from the number of orders and storage of Cheese Powder material in the warehouse. The total number of orders has decreased from 595,000 kg with a frequency of purchases of 28 times to 345,151 kg with a frequency of purchases of 17 times. This results in a decrease in the total cost of inventory that must be spent. The decrease in inventory costs resulted in an efficiency of 82% from the previous one that must be spent by the company in the amount of Rp2,635,915,520, - to Rp478,552,240, - after the Q method is applied. Keywords: inventory control, raw materials, safety stock, continuous review system. PT Mayora Indah merupakan perusahaan manufaktur yang bergerak di bidang makanan dan minuman. Salah satu Raw Material yang digunakan yaitu Cheese Powder. Masalah yang dihadapi yaitu pembelian material yang tinggi namun aktual pemakaian setiap bulannya lebih sedikit dari perencanaan yang telah dibuat sebelumnya sehingga menyebabkan stock yang ada di gudang menumpuk selama periode waktu yang lama. Untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan ini perlu dilakukan perencanaan persediaan yang lebih matang dimana dilakukan pengaturan untuk jadwal kedatangan, jumlah yang duoesan dan frekuensi pembelian yang dilakukan setiap bulannya. Metode yang digunakan untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan ini adalah metode Continous Review System (Q), metode Periodic Review System (P),dan metode Min-Max. Anakisis dilakukan dengan membandingkan total biaya persediaan yang harus dikeluarkan dari jumlah pemesanan dan penyimpan material Cheese Powder di gudang. Total jumlah pemesanan yang mengalami penurunan dari 595.000 kg dengan frekuensi pembelian sebanyak 28 kali menjadi 345.151 kg dengan frekuensi pembelian sebanyak 17 kali. Hal ini berdampak kepada menurunnya total biaya persediaan yang harus dikeluarkan. Penurunan biaya persediaan tersebut mengakibatkan terjadinya efisiensi sebesar 82% dari sebelumnya yang harus dikeluarkan oleh perusahaan sebesar Rp2.635.915.520,- menjadi RP478.552.240,- setelah metode Q diterapkan.
