Abstract

Solar Power Plant (PLTS) is an energy source that produces electricity that is environmentally friendly and does not use fuel oil, so it is very cheap, because solar energy is an unlimited source of energy. The construction of this PLTS also provides savings in the cost of electricity usage bills from the PLN network. The output power generated by PLTS depends on many factors. Some of these factors include the type of PV material, intensity of received solar radiation, cell temperature, parasitic resistance, clouds and other shadowing effects, inverter efficiency, dust, module orientation, weather conditions, geographical location and cable thickness and others. Therefore it is necessary to carry out an analysis related to the performance of PLTS, so that the operating system and constraints that occur in the PLTS can be identified. The PLTS that was carried out in this study was the PLTS Roof of the Administration Building at PT. PJB Muara Karang Power Unit. In supplying power to the load of the Administration Building, the Muara Karang Unit gets power supply directly from the PLTS Roof with a capacity of 49 kWp which is connected to the PLTGU Block 1 grid. efficiency for New PLTS is 19.9% and 15.6% for Old PLTS. Meanwhile, the performance ratio (PR) for New PLTS is 84.6% and for Old PLTS is 84.3%. The results of the calculation of the performance of the two PLTS are stated to be still in ideal conditions. Keywords : PLTS, Power Supply, Efficiency, Performance Ratio Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Surya (PLTS) adalah sumber energi penghasil listrik yang ramah lingkungan dan tidak menggunakan bahan bakar minyak, sehingga sangat murah, karena energi surya merupakan sumber energi yang tidak terbatas. Dibangunnya PLTS ini juga memberikan penghematan biaya tagihan pemakaian listrik dari jaringan PLN. Daya keluaran yang dihasilkan oleh PLTS tergantung pada banyak faktor. Beberapa faktor tersebut meliputi jenis bahan PV, intensitas radiasi matahari yang diterima, suhu sel, resistansi parasit, awan dan efek bayangan lainnya, efisiensi inverter, debu, orientasi modul, kondisi cuaca, lokasi geografis dan ketebalan kabel dan lainnya. Oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan analisis terkait kinerja PLTS, agar dapat diketahui sistem operasi dan kendala-kendala yang terjadi pada PLTS tersebut. PLTS yang dilakukan penelitian merupakan PLTS Atap Gedung Administrasi yang ada di PT. PJB Unit Pembangkit Muara Karang. Pada suplay daya ke beban Gedung Administrasi Unit Muara Karang mendapatkan suplai daya langsung dari PLTS Atap yang berkapasitas 49 kWp yang dihubungkan dengan grid PLTGU Blok 1. Setelah dilakukan penelitian, sistem PLTS Atap di Gedung Administrasi masih layak digunakan, hal ini dibuktikan dari hasil perhitungan dari efisiensi untuk PLTS Baru sebesar 19,9% dan PLTS Lama sebesar 15,6%. Sedangkan untuk rasio performa (PR) PLTS Baru sebesar 84,6% dan PLTS Lama sebesar 84,3%. Hasil perhitungan performa kedua PLTS tersebut dinyatakan masih dalam kondisi ideal.
