Abstract

Curing machines functions to cook semi-finished materials or green tires into tires. Programmable Logic Control is used to control the curing machine. The PLC installed uses an Omron-type C200H analog input. Over time and technological developments, PLC spare parts of this type have not been produced since 2000. An effort is needed to overcome the problem of the absence of spare parts. Based on the existing datasheet, the Resistance Thermometer Input Unit module can replace the analog input module by modifying the PLC program and adding an HMI display for offset temperature. After modifying the temperature monitoring system, 20 tests were then carried out on each sensor, bringing a total of 80 tests. In this test there is a measurement error between the temperature measured by the Handheld Thermometer and the temperature on the HMI. For the left Jacket with an average error of 1.77 o C, for the left Platen with an average error of 1.94 o C, for the right Jacket with an average error of 1.89 o C and for the right Platen with an average error of 1.6 o C . Based on the reference to the specifications of the tire curing machine, the modification of the temperature monitoring system is said to be good because it is still below the error limit of 2 o C for Jacket and Platen. Seeing these results, modification of the temperature monitoring system can solve the problem of lack of spare parts. Keyword: HMI, Monitoring, PLC, Platen, Temperature Mesin curing digunakan untuk memasak material setengah jadi atau greentire menjadi tire. Mesin curing dikendalikan oleh programmable logic control (PLC). PLC yang terpasang menggunakan analog input Omron tipe C200H. Seiring dengan berjalannya waktu dan perkembangan teknologi, sparepart PLC dengan tipe tersebut sudah tidak diproduksi sejak tahun 2000. Diperlukan suatu usaha untuk mengatasi permasalahan ketiadaan sparepart ini. Berdasarkan datasheet yang ada, modul analog input tersebut dapat digantikan dengan modul Resistance Thermometer Input Unit dengan memodifikasi program PLC dan penambahan tampilan HMI untuk offset temperatur. Setelah melakukan modifikasi sistem pemantauan temperatur, kemudian dilakukan pengujian sebanyak 20 kali pada masing-masing sensornya, sehingga total pengujian sebanyak 80 kali. Pada pengujian tersebut terdapat eror pengukuran antara temperatur yang diukur dengan Handheld Thermometer dan temperatur pada HMI. Jacket kiri dengan rerata eror sebesar 1,77 o C, Platen kiri dengan rerata eror sebesar 1,94 o C, Jacket kanan dengan rerata eror sebesar 1,89 o C dan Platen kanan dengan rerata eror sebesar 1,6 o C. Berdasarkan rujukan spesifikasi mesin pemasak ban, modifikasi sistem pemantauan temperatur dikatakan baik dikarenakan masih dibawah batas eror sebesar 2 o C untuk Jacket maupun Platen. Melihat hasil tersebut, modifikasi sistem pemantauan temperatur mold dapat menyelesaikan masalah ketiadaan sparepart yang berpotensi menyebabkan terganggunya produksi.
