Abstract
Quality control is a process that aims to maintain product quality standards promised by the company to consumers and to help maintain the performance of the production process. PT. Century Mitra Sukses Sejati needs to conduct quality control research to reduce the number of rejected products and find problems in the production process using the PDCA method and 5W + 1H analysis tools and tools. The results of the analysis of snack food packaging for 1 year showed that the average number of rejects reached 837 rolls per month or the percentage reached 6.1%, far from the company's standard for snack food packaging with a maximum of 2.5%. The results of the analysis of the PDCA method at the planning stage show that there are types of rejects on snack food packaging, namely missprint, striped, and inkblot. The three types of rejects were analyzed using a fishbone diagram to determine the causes of the rejects. At the do stage, the reject problem was repaired, namely making a checklist for machine maintenance, making a checksheet for incoming film material, making viscosity control and evaluating operator performance training. At the checking stage, there was a decrease in rejects on snack food packaging with an average reject of 560 rolls per month or a percentage of 2.1%. Then in the Action stage standardization is carried out by creating a new S.O.P for the company so that the improvements made can maintain the quality of snack food packaging products.
