Abstract
PT. Surya Toto Indonesia, Tbk (STI) is a company engaged in manufacturing the largest sanitary ware and water pipe industry in the world. This company produces bathroom equipment and others. Currently employees who work at PT. Surya Toto Indonesia, Tbk, reaching more than 1,000,000 units per year. To smooth the global competition and easy export of its products, PT. Surya Toto Indonesia has received an ISO 9001 version 94 certificate which was later updated to ISO 9002 version 2000 and is currently equipped with ISO 14001 on the Environment. In addition, PT. Surya Toto Indonesia also has a Japanese Industrial Standard Certificate (JIS) or Japanese industrial standard. This company produces accessories, one of which produces cover section S90108_PL as long as the product has silver defects. The dominant cause as many as 4121 total defects reached 41% from July to September 2018. Corrective action on this product needs to be handled further by the Operators to improve the quality of what they do in the production of the S90108_PL cover section product. Keywords: Quality, Defect Control, FMEA. PT. Surya Toto Indonesia, Tbk (STI) adalah Perusahaan yang bergerak dibidang manufaktur industri saniter wares dan plumbing terbesar di dunia. Perusahaan tersebut memproduksi peralatan kamar mandi dan lain-lain. Saat ini karyawan yang bekerja pada PT. Surya Toto Indonesia, Tbk, mencapai ribuan dengan kapasitas produksi lebih dari 1.000.000 unit pertahun. Guna kelancaran dalam menghadapi persaingan global dan mempermudah dalam eksport produknya PT. Surya Toto Indonesia sudah mendapatkan Sertifikat ISO 9001 versi 94 yang kemudian diperbarui ke ISO 9002 versi 2000 dan saat ini sudah dilengkapi ISO 14001 mengenai lingkungan. Selain itu PT. Surya Toto Indonesia juga memiliki Sertifikat Japan Industrial Standard (JIS) atau standar industri Jepang. Perusahaan tersebut memproduksi aksesoris, salah satunya memproduksi Cover part S90108_PL selama produk itu mempunyai defect silver yang dominan menyebabkan sebanyak 4121 total defect mencapai 41% dari bulan juli sampai September 2018. Tindakan perbaikan pada produk tersebut perlu ditanganin lebih lanjut pada Operatornya untuk meningkatkan kualitas yang mereka kerjakan dalam produksi produk Cover part S90108_PL.
