Abstract

This tire manufacturing company has been established since 1951 with customers spread at home and abroad. The high competition in the same industrial sector is also felt by this company at any time. To answer these challenges, the company must be ready to improve services to its customers, one of which is the management of logistics distribution to customers. The operational activity of providing delivery vehicles to the finished product warehouse is still delayed, this results in the cessation of the process of loading goods. One way to overcome this delay is to improve the lead time in the truck distribution process to the finished product warehouse. In this study the method used is Value Stream Mapping, the tools used to identify the causes of waste are fishbone diagrams. Waste that occurs in work activities, namely transportation and over processing. The improvements made are the proposed parking layout design and standardization of work guidelines to be disseminated to delivery transport drivers. After the improvements were made, the results were reducing the lead time from previously 950 seconds to 590 seconds for handling one truck, increasing efficiency by 8%, and eliminating non-value-added activities of 37.89% of the total existing lead time. Perusahaan manufaktur produksi ban ini sudah berdiri sejak tahun 1951 dengan pelanggan yang tersebar didalam dan luar negeri. Tingginya persaingan dalam bidang industri yang sama turut dirasakan oleh perusahaan ini di setiap waktunya untuk menjawab tantangan tersebut perusahaan harus siap meningkatkan pelayanan kepada pelanggan-pelanggannya salah satunya yaitu pengelolaan distribusi logistik ke pelanggan. Aktivitas operasional penyediaan kendaraan pengiriman ke gudang produk jadi masih terdapat keterlambatan hal ini mengakibatkan terhentinya proses loading barang. Salah satu cara untuk mengatasi keterlambatan tersebut yaitu dengan memperbaiki lead time pada proses distribusi truk ke gudang produk jadi. Dalam penelitian ini metode yang digunakan adalah Value Stream Mapping, tools yang digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi penyebab waste yaitu fishbone diagram. Waste yang terjadi dalam aktivitas pekerjaan yaitu transportation dan over processing. Perbaikan yang dilakukan yaitu usulan perancangan layout parkir dan standarisasi pedoman kerja untuk disosialisasikan ke supir angkutan pengiriman. Setelah dilakukan perbaikan hasilnya yaitu mengurangi lead time dari sebelumnya 950 detik menjadi 590 detik untuk penanganan satu truk, efisiensi meningkat sebesar 8%, dan menghilangkan aktivitas yang tidak bernilai tambah sebesar 37,89% dari total lead time yang ada.
