Abstract

This thesis is a study of the rise of mobile legends online games where the mobile legends game is one of a variety of global games which is currently a trend among adolescents, especially in the Ciledug region, Tangerang. The researcher raised the problem of research regarding communication patterns among teenagers who love mobile legends online games which are motivated to examine interactive communication between teenagers who love online games. This study aims to determine how important the role of communication is in playing mobile legends online games. Theories and concepts used by researchers include the concepts of communication, digital communication, interpersonal communication, virtual communication, teenagers, online games, online game lovers. The selection of theoretical concepts is used as a reference in the preparation of the thesis relating to the patterns of communication between teenagers who love mobile legends online games. The research method used is interpretive to find out the pattern of communication between teenage lovers of mobile legends online games in the Ciledug region, Tangerang. Interviews and observations in the field are primary data collection techniques conducted by researchers in the research process, there is also documentation as secondary data. Communication used by mobile legends online game players is in the form of verbal communication, namely chat and voice chat, while for non-verbal form the symbols have been provided. Communication patterns that occur in the form of transactional communication where the communication process continues to run and requires feedback. Keywords: communication patterns, teenagers, online games, online game lovers Skripsi ini adalah studi tentang maraknya game online mobile legends dimana game mobile legends ini merupakan satu dari berbagai game global yang saat ini menjadi sebuah trend dikalangan remaja khususnya diwilayah Ciledug,Tangerang. peneliti mengangkat permasalahan penelitian mengenai pola komunikasi antar remaja pecinta game online mobile legends dimana dilatar belakangi untuk mencermati komunikasi interaktif antar remaja pecinta game online. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa penting peran komunikasi dalam bermain game online mobile legends. Teori-teori dan konsep yang digunakan peneliti antara lain konsep komunikasi, komunikasi digital, komunikasi antar pribadi, komunikasi virtual, remaja, game online, pecinta game online. Pemilihan konsep teori digunakan sebagai acuan dalam penyusunan skripsi yang berhubungan dengan pola komunikasi antar remaja pecinta game online mobile legends. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah interpretatif untuk mengetahui pola komunikasi antar remaja pecinta game online mobile legends diwilayah ciledug,tangerang. Wawancara dan observasi dilapangan merupakan teknik pengumpulan data primer yang dilakukan peneliti dalam proses penelitian ini, juga ada dokumentasi sebagai data sekunder. Komunikasi yang digunakan oleh pemain game online mobile legends berupa komunikasi verbal yaitu chat dan voice chat sedangkan untuk non verbalnya berupa simbol-simbol yang telah disediakan. Pola komunikasi yang terjadi berupa komunikasi tranksaksional dimana proses komunikasi terus berjalan dan membutuhkan feedback. Kata kunci :pola komunikasi,remaja,game online,pecinta game online
