Abstract

The development of the digital world has been very rapid in the last few decades, this has an impact on the development of digital data which is growing very massive at this time and will become a very large collection of data. This can result in a limited storage system for each data generated. So, it is necessary to develop a data compression system that can handle large data. Data compression is the process of compressing data so that it has a smaller size than the original. The data that has been created produces a small space that can be discarded to reduce the size of the data. This final project provides a solution in the form of a combined data compression method between SENARY HUFFMAN COMPRESSION (SHC) & LEMPEL- ZIV STORER SZYMANZKI (LZSS) to compress data, reduce data redundancy, speed up data transfer time, and save internet quota services for 5G network users. Keywords: Data Compression, 5G Perkembangan dunia digital sangat pesat dalam beberapa dekade terakhir hal ini berdampak dengan perkembangan data digital berkembang sangat masif pada saat ini dan akan menjadi perkumpulan data yang sangat besar. Hal ini dapat mengakibatkan pada sistem penyimpanan yang terbatas terhadap setiap data yang dihasilkan. Maka, diperlukannya pengembangan sebuah sistem Kompresi data yang dapat menangangi data – data berukuran besar. Kompresi data merupakan proses pemampatan data agar mempunyai ukuran yang lebih kecil dari aslinya. Data – data yang telah tercipta menghasilkan ruang kecil yang dapat dibuang untuk memperkecil ukuran data tersebut. Tugas akhir ini memberikan solusi berupa metode kompresi data gabungan antara SENARY HUFFMAN COMPRESSION (SHC) & LEMPEL-ZIV STORER SZYMANZKI (LZSS) untuk memampatkan data, mengurangi redudansi data, mempercepatwaktu transfer data, dan menghemat layanan kuota internet untuk para pengguna jaringan 5G.
