Abstract

Zada Store is a business engaged in the retail industry. The large number of types of products that must be sent to customers must require management to deliver products in a relatively fast time. Employees often experience errors in taking products to be sent and result in delivery errors which cause costs to exchange products that should be sent to customers. This causes irregular product placement in the product warehouse. In this study, using the Class Based Storage method, which classifies products into three classes, A, B, and C based on the Pareto principle, and observes product storage at the Zada Store. Grouping of goods is also divided according to the frequency of receipt and expenditure. Calculating storage capacity by measuring storage time to the point of sale (storefront), then calculating space utility, calculating block utility, and calculating product flow. In the repair layout, the boxes in the warehouse are arranged according to the classes that have been made and do not use a stacking system. In the arrangement of cardboard in the repair layout using First In First Out (the first item in will be the first item out) which makes it easier for warehouse employees to pick up goods. For grouping product placement using Class-Based Storage, it consists of three classes according to the percentage of investment, namely Type-C Data Cable products, including class A (fast moving) of 30.09%, Earphone Cable products and iPhone Data Cables, including class B (middle moving) of 28.58% and 23.29%, the last Micro Data Cable including class C (slow moving) of 18.04%. For improved layouts using Class-Based Storage, product retrieval time is faster from an overall average of 107 seconds to an overall average of 58 seconds. Keywords: Warehouse Layout, Class-Based Storage Merhod, Handling fee Zada Store merupakan sebuah usaha yang bergerak di industri retail. Banyaknya jenis produk yang harus dikirimkan ke pelanggan harus menuntut management untuk mengirimkan produk dengan waktu relatif cepat. Seringnya karyawan mengalami kesalahan pengambilan produk yang akan dikirim dan mengakibatkan kesalahan pengiriman yang menyebabkan memerlukan biaya untuk menukar produk yang seharusnya dikirim ke pelanggan. Hal tersebut yang menyebabkan penempatan produk yang tidak beraturan dalam gudang produk. Dalam penelitian ini, menggunakan metode Class Based Storage, yang mengklasifikasikan produk menjadi tiga kelas, A, B, dan C berdasarkan prinsip Pareto, dan mengamati penyimpanan produk di Zada Store. Pengelompokan barang juga dibagi menurut frekuensi penerimaan dan pengeluaran. Menghitung kapasitas penyimpanan dengan mengukur waktu penyimpanan ke tempat penjualan (etalase), kemudian menghitung utilitas ruang, menghitung utilitas blok, dan menghitung aliran produk. Pada layout perbaikan, kardus pada gudang disusun sesuai kelas yang sudah dibuat dan tidak menggunakan sistem stacking (tumpuk). Dalam susunan kardus di layout perbaikan menggunakan First In First Out (barang yang pertama masuk akan menjadi barang yang pertama keluar) yang memudahkan pegawai gudang untuk pengambilan barang. Untuk pengelompokan terhadap penempatan produk dengan menggunakan Class-Based Storage terdiri dari tigas kelas sesuai dengan persentasi investasi yaitu produk Kabel Data Type-C termasuk kelas A (fast moving) sebesar 30,09%, produk Kabel Earphone dan Kabel Data iPhone termasuk kelas B (middle moving) sebesar 28,58% dan 23,29%, terakhir Kabel Data Micro termasuk kelas C (slow moving) sebesar 18,04%. Untuk layout perbaikan menggunakan Class-Based Storage, waktu pengambilan produk lebih cepat dari rata-rata keseluruhan sebesar 107 detik menjadi rata-rata keseluruhan sebesar 58 detik.
