Abstract

Facility layout is an important role in the production process to make effective and efficient. PT. Trakindo Utama has a workshop for assemble the hose, so far nobody seen the opportunities or advantages to apply theory of facility layout. Current facilities layout only took what has been done before without considering the process of material flow during the production process. In this study, the facility layout method used is Sytematic Layout Planning (SLP) which functions to redesign the layout of production facilities that can minimize distance between production facilities and also make the production flow pattern be easily and smoothly. The outcome of the study show how the layout is able to minimize the material flow distance of 34 percent. Key words : Systematic Layout Planing, Layout Tata letak fasilitas memiliki peranan penting dalam proses produksi yang efektif dan efisien. PT. Trakindo Utama memiliki workshop untuk proses perakitan Hose yang selama ini belum melihat peluang maupun keuntungan yang didapak ketikan menerapkan teori tata letak fasilitas. Tata letak fasiltas saat ini hanya mengikuti apa yang sudah ada dari dulu tanpa mempertimbangkan proses aliran material pada saat proses produksi. Pada kasus penelitian ini metode tata letak fasilitas yang digunakan adalah Sytematic Layout Planning (SLP) yang berfungsi untuk menghasilkan rancangan tata letak fasilitas produksi yang dapat meminimumkan jarak antara fasilitas produksi dan juga menciptakan pola aliran material produksi dapat berjalan dengan lancar dan teratur. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tata letak usulan mampu meminimumkan jarak aliran material 34 persen. Kata kunci : Tata letak, Systematic Layout Planing, Layout
